I hardly ever write reviews but felt this quality of a product deserved my time and effort. As a young bartender in a busy, high quality restaurant, opening wine is a typical task, but one I was not very confident with. This was the second waiters friend I have bought and I am absolutely thrilled with it. Any apprehension of opening wine has now disappeared as I trust the product so much, it never fails and is a dream to open bottles with. Aesthetically the product is of the highest quality and befitting of its premium title - it looks like a dime when you whip it out in front of your corkscrew-less colleagues. Good quality. But, It is hard to take out and put back the wine cutter.

I've had too many corkscrews break on me over the years and so decided to go with something different. The detail of workmanship on this Waiter Corkscrew is second to none. It is a beautiful thing. It has a small curved knife-like tool that cuts through the wine bottle seal for easy removal. It's made for easy removal of corks with minimum effort. It has a bottle opener too. It comes with a very beautiful high-quality presentation box. An all-round superb tool/gift.

Have considered sending this back, but the product works fine? The knife is too rugged and often makes a total pigs ear out of cutting the foil, mostly dragging huge lumps of it rather than slicing. The two step opener both hinders the cork from coming out (the cork gets jammed by the first step) and is just finiky in general. It's a lovely corkscrew but the two main parts are a pain to use. I would look elsewhere - I've since bought a 'Barvivo' style opener and am having great success.

I had the family round for food, one bought a bottle of wine, once the foil had been removed a cork was revealed. So, Cork screw, no, so I resolved to buy one. Did a bit of research and found this one. Family, food, wine, Cork screw, yes, as soon as it left the box my son in laws eyes were like saucers. He's a big engineering fan. I said would you like to be mum, handing him the Cork screw. Once he had given it the once over, he had the bottle open in a flash. Saying "this is a well put together piece of kit". So, if it's good enough for him.

Très beau tire bouchon et très qualitatif. Moins une étoile car, malgré la double charnière, ce n'est pas le sytème d'ouverture le plus efficace (Soft Machine de L'Atelier du Vin reste pour moi la référence)
