I consider these clips an essential if you have a folding walking stick. Stops the walking stick leaping into life unexpectedly.

This clip really makes it much easier to carry or store a folding walking stick when not in use. Once the stick is folded, you put the clip on from the opposite side of the ferral, not over it. I hope this is helpful yo someone, as I saw a review where someone couldn't use it for the above reason. The clip really does work well if put on correctly. The larger area is to go over the larger part of the stick that often looks like a thick black band, it's in the upper area where you alter the height. I would definitely recommend this clip.

The first one of these fitted my walking sticks perfectly. I keep one stick in the car and the other in the house, so i decided to order second one. At first sight they look identical but, put side by side, it is obvious that one is so very slightly narrower than the other, and fitting it over the stick is a bit of a struggle. If the first one had been the narrow one, then I doubt very much if I would have bought a second one. Shame, because they are both very sturdy.

My wife needed a folding walking stick and I found the band so when she comes to fold it back, this will secure it nicely.

I found it a little stiff the first time I used it but it is brilliant! now my stick fits into my bag when not needed.

It didn’t fit over the black plastic ferrule on any of my three sticks. Thought it was because I have arthritis in my hands but even my son couldn’t fit it.
