Very durable and great looking
Great bag and highly recommended. I love the bag and get compliments all the time as I travel a lot so it gets exposed to many people. I carry a Dell 14" laptop, Samsung S9 Ultra tablet, charging cables & bricks for everything including my watch, Shokz OpenComm2 headset, presenter, notebook, pens, cards, and various other items. Lots of room for those needing a mobile office or just the ability to carry a lot of stuff. I wish I had purchased the 16" version but I was worried it wouldn't be enough room. I have no worries that anything will get hurt, I saw some reviews that they worried there wasn't padded pouches. Very durable, great looking, and well constructed. There is a smell when you get it but when you have that much quality leather there will be a smell for a few days. Not a huge issue and it goes away quickly.

Great quality!
I actually purchased the Cuero Leather Messenger Bag for my husband a while ago, and I’m finally writing a review because he still uses it all the time and he keeps telling me how much he loves it. The leather has held up so well and has that nice, worn-in look now that only real full-grain leather gets. When it first arrived, there was a slight leather smell, but it went away pretty quickly and wasn’t a big deal. Since then, it’s been nothing but solid. The stitching and hardware are still in great shape, and the 18-inch size fits his laptop and all his work stuff perfectly without feeling too bulky. The shoulder strap has also been really comfortable for him, even on longer days. Overall, this bag has turned out to be well worth the cost. It’s practical, stylish, and clearly made to last. If you’re thinking about getting one, do it. I highly recommend it.

Durable Bag- perfect gift for a grad student
Where to begin. This is the most durable bag I've ever had and it has so much room/organization. I can easily fit 3 notebooks (5 subject), and two water bottles in the large middle pocket, with enough room in the other pockets for anything else I could hope to store. In addition to the main large pocket there is a pocket behind that for a laptop, with 2 smaller pockets sewn on to the front of it (that wasn't even mentioned in the product description). In front of the largest pocket there is a slightly smaller pocket with enough room for a small umbrella and a bit extra. It has 4 little slots for pens (a bit too wide for one pen but can easily hold 2 pens) and a zipper with yet another compartment for storage. On the front of the bag there are 2 nice sized pockets of the same size. Each has about enough room to fit a medium sized stapler and a recorder. Also on the front of the bag is yet another zippered compartment. On the sides of the bag there are some small, taller pockets great for lesser items you might not want to clutter the larger compartments with like a phone charger or pencil sharpeners. On the back of the bag is yet another zippered compartment perfect for storing packs of scantrons. Ultimately it has immense organization potential with so many pockets and compartments everywhere, it has so much room (the main reason I got the bag to begin with), and is super durable. The strap is extremely durable; the clamps on it in particular are the best. After almost 2 months of having the bag it shows no signs of wear and I carry a lot of stuff in this bag. And other bags of this quality were all at least $230, and typically much smaller. Plus, it really does look quite nice- I've gotten several compliments on it. For me the leather smell faded after about 2 days and went away completely within a week. I don't know if this is goat leather or cow hide but I don't really care or see why it would matter. It's a high quality bag for moderate quality price; the perfect gift for a grad student that has too much to carry and needs something that will do that and last.

Nice but not for electronics
CONS - I am trying to like this bag., but this is not a laptop bag. Its more of a document or small tablet (<14in.) carrier. It does not have any padding or insulation. I had to cut to measure and add some foam rubber to one of the compartments, thereby rendering that compartment useless. I relied on Amazon's Rufus AI to give me accurate info about this bag and its ability to fit my Thinkpad PS16 laptop. Mistake! It was way off. The laptop will fit it, but it will not fit anything else. The charging brick will bang up against or press against the laptop. And if anyone knows Lenovo Thinkpad charging bricks - they're big and heavy. My cooling pad which is slightly larger than the laptop will not fit in with the laptop. *Sigh* . PROS - Its a beautiful bag. Top grade leather, two outside compartments, that will hold writing pens/pencils. Plenty of zippered compartments. Sueded leather on the inside. it appears to be sturdy and quality made - but for documents/papers only , not for electronics. You can place your cellphone or small tablet in the main inside compartment. The size that I got was supposed to be able to accommodate my PS16 laptop, and it does - without any additional room to spare. Thanks Rufus AI! Make sure you order one size larger if its available. Got a 16" laptop? Get the 17"-18" size. Just remember you'll have to add your own padding.

Exceeded Expectations
Fine quality leather, very homogeneous appearance so I rubbed in some leather conditioner and scuffed it up a bit for a weathered patina look. Brass buckles (note: not snaps) were good quality and plentiful. Double stitching throughout. Strap is a bit long for one-shoulder use (I'm 5'9"), but i can fix that. The craftsmanship and overall quality exceeded expectations and the modest price is a nice bonus.

update on the briefcase!
Ugggh. I have to add an update... I should've trusted my initial judgment on this one. Now, just after one year of owning the briefcase and very little usage, the fabric lining on the inside is unraveling and there are loose seams everywhere all around and outside the bag. Just a really poor quality bag. Not worth buying. Below was my first review. However, ever since the briefcase got really wet in a rainstorm, I have wanted to post an update. So here it goes: As related below, I was unhappy with the color of the briefcase when it arrived. It did not resemble the photo or the on-line description and I was peeved by the Seller's offer to refund the amount of the briefcase for an excellent review resubmitted. HOWEVER, several months ago we had rain for weeks, and this briefcase got sopped (my fiance was not careful about keeping it under cover one day on a job). Anyway, amazingly, when it dried, it took on the most beautiful cognac color and the thickness/sturdiness of the leather itself was rather apparent. Now - after the rainstorm incident, the bag is actually perfect for my fiance who runs an electrical contracting business. The briefcase holds a lot of his stuff for daily business and it is very sturdy. My personal opinion is that the leather is so thick (good) and heavy that it weighs too much for my shoulders (even without stuff in it), but perfect for a larger man who needs his business materials in tow. So anyway, a good price for a very sturdy briefcase. You just need to get it super wet and let it dry. Ha! Who knew?? I have posted a photo of the post-rainstorm briefcase :) ORIGINAL REVIEW: "Delivery was good and efficient (and we live out in the boon docks)! However, it is not a goodlooking bag/briefcase at all. It looks a lot like pleather. I am not even sure that it is real leather. Though the style is nice (lots of pockets and room, etc.), it looks nothing like the image. But... you get what you pay for, right? Too good to be true (for the price). MORE: After I posted the 1 star review above, I received an email from the seller that included this "demand": I ALWAYS PROVIDE ORIGINAL PRODUCT TO OUR BUYER..BECAUSE OUR FIRST PRIORITY IS TO SATISFY OUR BUYER WITH OUR PRODUCT..... I REQUEST YOU TO UPDATE YOUR REVIEW TO POSITIVE 5 STAR A++++ AND I WILL DO REFUND YOU 50% BACK TO YOUR ACCOUNT ..... JUST REPLY TO THIS MAIL AFTER UPDATE YOUR REVIEW AND I WILL DO REFUND WITHIN AN HOUR ..... I HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND IT MANY THANKS ** While I believe the seller that the bag is probably "goat skin" leather (this is entirely possible, and therefore 100% leather), I still think this is not a nice looking bag/briefcase. Perhaps the tanning process was not right, but it looks and feels cheap. I am not going to change my review to get a 50% refund on my purchase (as directed from the seller). It certainly makes me wonder about the 5 star reviews on this bag. Yikes!

REALLY nice bag
I just received my bag and I LOVE it. I have to admit I was a little skeptical about it due to the price point, but it meets or exceeds my expectations. The leather is very nice and the color is perfect. As it ages I know the color is only going to get better. The quality seems to be really good. I'll update late on down the road on how it holds up. I am a photographer and wanted a bag that looked more stylish than the "normal" canvas type camera bags. This bag definitely fits that category. I was worried whether or not it would actually fit a large size camera and lens. I measured my other bag before ordering and it "looked" like it would be large enough for what I needed to carry when I have appointments. The photo shows my camera and lens fitting very nicely in the bag. This is a Canon 7D with a battery grip, a 70-200 lens and a 24-105 lens and I still have plenty of room for a flash and other extra items that I need when at an appointment. My only "complaint" is that the bottom of the bag is not padded. The sides are padded (for when a laptop is being carried), but the bottom is not. It is not a huge issue as I have a padded insert from an older bag that will fit nicely in the bag so problem solved. I would just be nice if the bottom was already padded. Some reviews have mentioned the bag has a "smell" to it. It does. It is a new leather smell and not bad at all. All leather items will have some sort of "smell" to them for a little while. This bag is not different. Not an issue at all. It also had a little bit of a sticky substance on the metal parts (buckle, clasps, rivets, etc.) like others have mentioned, but nothing that a warm damp clothe couldn't take care of. Bottom line, right now I would definitely buy this bag again and recommend it if you want a really nice stylish bag. You can't go wrong with leather. I'll update this post down the road once I get some miles on the bag and see how well it holds up.

A really really really excellent carry bag!!
I’ve had this bag since September 20 23 and I’ve brought it to business meetings and on long distance trips and it has with stood the rigs of rough and tumble use. It has so many pockets and they all buckle down very securely with very strong claps. My 15 inch laptop fits inside easily. The shoulder strap occasionally comes apart in the center where it is supposed to connect with a belt buckle type set up. I wrapped a piece of electrical tape around the connection to make sure it stays in place other than that is the perfect traveling bag and when I fly, I don’t like to have any extra baggage so I only bring my carry-on which I put up above and then I bring this bag with me. When we first get on the plane, I put it at my feet behind my heels and kick it up against the seat so it’s not noticeable because I don’t want them to take it from me And store it and I don’t want them to make me put it up above. This has worked perfectly, and nobody has tried to take it away. During the flight I have access to my snacks, my tablet, my phone, my laptop, my cell phone, and my charger that keeps all these devices going. It’s a great bag and it has lasted through all the abuse I’ve given it so I highly recommend it.
