Clay Mask with Salicylic Acid & Zinc Oxide. Brightening, Spot Clearing Face Mask for all Skin Types

First of all, I have incredibly sensitive combination skin. That, as you can imagine, makes buying products - especially skincare - for my face and body a complete nightmare. I stumbled across this product whilst searching for face masks - I didn't particularly want a mud mask, but it came so highly recommended that I decided I'd give it a shot. First of all, the tub was much smaller than expected - but that was entirely my own fault for assuming it would be much bigger and not taking a good enough look at the photos already posted from the reviews on here. For it to have the full effect, I took a shower to open up my pores beforehand, and then took a clean spoon to stir up the mask, which changed its colour from a sort of muddy brown-green to a much darker green immediately. Yes, it doesn't look too pretty, but at this point I was desperate for something to work with my skin, so I didn't much mind about the colour. I used a clean, previously unused foundation brush to paint this on my face. Almost immediately, as soon as I'd applied the product, I began to feel a hot/tingly sensation. It isn't nearly as strong when you don't open up your pores before, and to be honest, I didn't mind it too much. For some it can be painful, but personally, it just assures me that the mask is working. The heat on your face does die down as it begins to dry, but remains to an extent. I left it on for 20 minutes - I am aware that it only says 10 to 15 minutes on the packaging, but I didn't feel like it was dry enough at that point - and then washed it off. My face was left looking a little red, but oh Lord, it was SOFT! My dry patches were nonexistent, and I wasn't oily either - a side effect I wasn't expecting. The softness of my skin remained for a long time, maybe 2-3 days, during which I didn't even have to exfoliate if I didn't want to. Immediately the following morning (I put the face mask on, washed it off, then went to bed) I noticed the effects the mask had on my skin. It was glowing, the pores had noticeably reduced, as had my blemishes. My face felt superbly clean, and even better, I had no adverse reactions to the product, which shows that this really is suitable for sensitive skin - mine is as sensitive as it gets! I have blemishes all over my face, with a new one popping up almost every day, and after using this, I didn't get another blemish for an entire week. The ones I already had just began to reduce in size and redness, and eventually disappeared completely. I have only used this ONCE, and already these are the results I'm getting. I can't wait to continue using this, and I will definitely be trying other BeBarefaced products - trust me when I say that this product is worth every penny. I am so happy I purchased it - it does everything it says on the tin!

The mask is working really well. I'm on a hormonal contraception, which means that once or twice a month I get an outburst of acne. Acne apocalypse you might say. It's painful and hard to get rid of and the scars don't heal for weeks! Sorry to go into so much detail. This month was worse than the previous ones, and that's why I bought the mask. I didn't expect much improvement to be honest but was hopeful nevertheless. I used it second time on Thursday night, and on Friday morning I could see a huge improvement. My skin condition improved, pores cleaned up, and the acne was mostly pacified. It didn't disappear altogether, but the mask does really help to soothe and cleanse my skin. It has a lovely texture and I like the smell. It's the first mask I ever used, that really makes a difference. Thank you for that :). Not to mention the branding. Love the bear! I'll definitely be back for more.

Good mask, smells a bit funny and it does make your skin sting when you first apply but at least you know it's working! I can normally rub most of the mask off after 30 minutes which for some reason I believe makes to more effective and I use cool water to wash the remaining bits off. My skin does smell strange until the next morning if I mask in the evening but you get used to it. I recommend mixing the whole tub first with a spoon or a fork first as the bottom tends to be darker than the top so I like to mix it all together. You do need to really rub the mask on your face for it to spread as it has quite a thick consistency and the mud tends to just drop off your face if you don't rub it in properly! I reckon I'll get around 10 applications with one tub which if you do once a week proves to be good value for money but it all depends where you apply and how much, I do over whole face and quite a large amount so I am getting through a lot! The mask hasn't proven to be at all effective with my blackheads on my nose and chin which was a bit disappointing but there's a product out there somewhere for me!

I've never really used face masks as such but have been hearing great things about Dead Sea mud masks. Like everyone else here, I came across this product and saw that it was generally well reviewed so I thought I would give it a try. It arrived very quickly and comes in a little tub with a cute picture of a bear on it (not that the bear is relevant but I like it!). The tub is filled to the tub and as you would expect, the contents look like mud- without the bad smell though! My husband and I enjoyed a lovely girly afternoon sitting with our mud masks on (a few mins is needed only) and we found the mask very easy to wash off. Upon washing off my skin felt really soft, smooth and very clean. As mentioned you don't need to keep it on too long and it isn't unusual to experience a very slight tingly sensation although the mask shouldn't give you a painful burning sensation. Would I buy again? Most probably. I've used it 3 times so far and I have a lot left- a little does go a long way. I think for the price paid, it's a good quality product. Obviously there are much cheaper alternatives but not sure how beneficial they would be. As someone who had acne and awful skin in general I was pleasantly surprised to see that this did not give me any breakouts or any skin problems. After washing off I applied a little bio oil to finish off.

This product was lovely! The smell was very fresh and natural, and not at all unpleasant. And the product had a natural muddy green colour - something that made me feel great as I knew that would help reduce redness! When I applied the product I used the mud that was on the safety seal, and that was enough to completely cake my face in it with some left over! I can definitely see this product lasting a long time! I immediately felt a warm tingling on my face, so I knew something was happening! Left it on my face while I enjoyed a wonderful, hot bubbly bath, and when I washed it off my skin felt amazingly soft and refreshed! The redness was NOTABLY lessened, pimples reduced and my skin felt much tighter and more regenerated! Amazing product. Outstanding value for money! Will definitely be repurchasing and telling everyone I know! Barefaced Skin is my new holy grail!

Arrived next day with prime. I was looking for a nice refreshing mask to treat my combination to oily skin and get rid of my blackheads. First thing I noticed was the fresh lovely smell coming from this cute pot. I couldn't wait to try it out. When I first applied this it felt a strong tingling sensation but after I left it on to dry and washed it off, my skin felt very refreshed. The redness caused by the mask on my sensitive skin was gone within half an hour. A generous layer took about 15-20 minutes to dry out, it does harden when dried out but nothing like my Aztec Secret: Indian Healing Clay (which I think is the best mask out there). It's a nice ready made mask but I found it pricey and most reviews on here are heavily biased as anyone who purchases this mud mask gets a card delivered with it which mentions that you get a chance to win something if you leave a 5 star review!!!! It didn't help my blackheads or treat any spots, it just refreshes the skin, that's all. It's nice though, it has a nice minty fresh cooling effect on the skin. Also, it leaves your sink looking like a real mess when washing it off, some parts will just stick to your sink until you scrub it off. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a nice ready made mud mask, but this is definitely not the best out there.

I don't normally reply to feedback requests, I am a busy mum of four boys, however I am happy to give you my initial thoughts regarding your product. Firstly the delivery was very prompt. I found the packaging of the product simple and your logo and product info on the container is appealing. I am a bit of a 'mask' addict, forever searching for the Holy Grail which will provide what my skin needs. I have used many different masks, varying in price and promises, but I don't recall ever seeing listed in the instructions to use a clean spoon to take the required amount of product. I am suitably impressed at this, as it obviously minimises the chances of transferring bacteria, so for that you gain my respect. Like I said, I have used many mask products. As I write this I would have to say that the GlamGlow range has always been the one that has provided the best results, however, it's extortionate and only comes in quite small pots, the consistency is flakey and therefore you do lose small amounts while you apply it, therefore making it even less cost effective. My 1st impressions of the consistency and texture of your product is great, no, in fact it's perfect. I was able to apply a slightly thicker layer over my T zone and a slightly thinner layer elsewhere without it dropping or running. It has a nice fresh natural smell too. I'm 42 years old, my dad always promised me that my spots would be gone by the time I turned 20. He was very wrong. I still get occasional breakouts that would make the average teenager hide in a cave. I use a combination of products to try and somehow minimise this. This evening I have seen very promising results after the 1st application of your product. There was a pleasant tingle when I first put it on, and I then sat wearing it for the recommended time. Some masks dry to the point that they become like day old Weetabix or concrete on your skin. Yours didn't. It dried to a very comfortable level. After my wee cup of tea and scroll through the book of many faces, I went to wash the mask off. Immediately I noticed a much smoother feeling to my skin and my pores looked as though they had disappeared. There is a healthy glow to my skin and my whole face feels toned and deeply cleansed. I feel as though using this pot say twice a week will give me multiple .. applications..I've barely made a dent in the contents, it's going to last this mask addict for ages..Therefore I'd have to say that your product is a complete bargain! I'd go so far as to say that BeBarefaced Dead Sea Mask has impressed me as much as GlamGlow did after the first use. If that continues then you can consider me a convert.

Was looking for something to help shrink my pores and help with a few spots that appeared out of thin air, my skin is always clear so I wanted to nip this in the bud before it became a problem. I've had no problems with it and I've got really sensitive skin to the point of annoying sometimes. The pot is small but as with all of their products a little goes a long way and it's not thick and gloopy and you don't need to plaster it on . Has a refreshing smell and feel and is very light on your skin. Did everything I needed and my skin is much improved smooth with closed pores and cleared my spots .I know it's not meant for spots but it cleared mine but that's not to say it will suit everyone.I would definitely recommend and will keep using it and maybe give one of their other masks a whirl . I'm reliably informed the pot size will probably be made larger too. Good product and results what's not to love.
