Spent an age researching what to get to carry hot food in - you know, that you can eat like a normal meal, rather than ANOTHER soup or sloppy casserole type thing out of a traditional vacuum flask! This is the bomb & well worth the money imo. Three circular compartments stack on top of each other in a cylindrical outer storage case - nice carry bag/spork - bag would fit a 330ml water bottle or equiv alongside the flask. Some daft reviews on here - it's not magic - you need to sit boiling water in the cylinder, and containers for a few mins - before loading them with nicely hot food and it then stays warm for hours! I put a couple of discs of cheesey garlic bread (cut into rounds to fit!) in the base, a spag bol or macaroni cheese in the middle container (it fits a whole single ready meal in it) and some fruit in the top one and then pack them up in the container at 6am - still piping hot at 1/2pm and any leftovers still warm to the touch when I get home and go to wash it up at 6pm! The lids stay on tight and prevent leaks, the fruit on top doesn't get warm - and you feel vaguely fancy and oriental with your chic 'bento' flask! Re the comment about the clips on the outer cylinder breaking, I can see that if you handled it a bit roughly this could happen....... so, er, don't do that.

The whole thing was smaller than I expected. I had my doubts about getting enough food in to fill me up but, I was wrong. I had slightly less than about half a can of soup, a pack of noodles with meat & veg. & a, admittedly huge, slice of cake. I actually couldn't finish it all: left some cake! The whole thing, packed with food, is very compact & lightweight to carry in its bag. There is also enough space in the bag to have a Zojirushi Tuff Mug along with the very handy "spork": fork/spoon. The heat was retained very well. I had filled the outer container with hot water beforehand, as suggested, while I was heating the food. Then poured the hot water out & dried it before putting in each container. If anything the slice of cake, at the top, ended up just a LITTLE bit warm 4/5 hours later when I ate. This brand is that bit more expensive but, well worth it: knowing its excellence from using Tuff Mugs!

I can't help but rave about this amazing product! It's a pleasure to have hot food throughout my day! It can seem a bit pricey at first but I can assure you that your lunch savings will be worthy and this efficient bento lunchbox will end up paying itself. Not to mention how light the bag is, even when the lunchbox is full. This is definitely one of my best purchases and I would recommend to everyone that enjoy the feeling of having your lunch straight from the oven (I can even see steam coming out of mine, every single time I open it!).

The solid construction and near perfect vacuum of my Zojirushi Tuff Slim, thin wall, and easy to clean and still keeping coffee warm for three days after 10 years of constant use prompted me to get the lunch bag for my daught for Christmas as she is an all year Gardner. Another generation of my family is now sold on the product 👍

A friend has been using one of these for years and I finally caved in and bought one. Yes, its expensive, but after using mine for the first time this weekend it is well worth it and proves the adage you get what you pay for. I filled 2 of the sections with soup and then put bread in the top section at 6 am and took it with me on a hike. At 12 noon ( I couldn't wait any longer) I opened the flask and STILL had to blow on the soup to cool it because was hot. I will use this for work now and take hot food in with me and not have to nuke my lunch in the microwave everyday to reheat it. I only wish we'd had one when the kids were young, it would have been ideal for baby food and water for the milk. Bag is well made and sturdy, not just cheap cotton like others I've had before. In short, highly recommended.

The equipment in the school kitchen was broken and for months I need to prepare a lunch box for my son every day. In summer it's ok to have cold food but it's nice to eat something hot in cold weather. I am so glad I found this food flask! I use it for fried rice, hot dumplings, wonton, spaghetti with separately stored sauce, fried noodles... The food is put in at 7 am and it's hot at noontime! It's easy to clean as well. Plus there's plenty of room in the bag for extra cold drink, snacks, etc.

I don’t usually bother writing reviews but I LOVE this bento style lunchbox. Took a curry, rice and pitta bread with me at 9.30 (preheated bowls with hot water) and it was still hot at 1pm. Food looks much more appetising in these little containers and they are microwaveable too. It’s small enough to carry comfortably.

I got this for my 11 year old daughter cos the current Thermos lunch tote (JBC-801) I had was a bit small. Upon comparing the size, Ms Bento could hold 150ml more. 840ml vs 690ml. All the containers seems small, but its actually a good size (for kids n people with small appetite) once you have drank the soup n ate the rice/side dishes. Keeps warm for up to 6 hours. At the 4 hour mark, hotter than warm. At the 6 hour mark, just warm. But I've eaten it n so far not gotten any food poisoning. Having a hard time filling the top side dish container as I couldn't find any suitable things to put in there. Its supposed to be room temp but the heat from the containers below get to it. Fruits/veggies get warm. Green veggies turn a yucky shade of green. But I love the spork. Makes eating from the small containers very easy. Washing is a bit tedious as there are many parts but I do own a lot of thermos etc so I'm quite used it. I always remove gaskets when washing all these thermos cos they can really turn yucky if you dont. U can also tell they really put effort into the design as there is a small groove which makes it easy for the gasket to be removed for washing. All in all, satisfied with the product.

Me encanta el sistema para mantener la comida caliente en la parte inferior y que no afecte a la fruta por ejemplo que pongo en la parte superior. Además es muy práctico de llevar, ya que queda todo recogido en la bolsa que te incluye.
