Sturdy and Convenient.
The media could not be loaded. This digital scale is both sturdy and accurate, perfect for my needs. It's built for heavy-duty use. I've used it for regular tasks in the pilot plant, measuring both dry ingredients and meats up to 10 kg (approximately 22 lbs). Its convenience is enhanced by the fact that it doesn't require constant charging.

Large capacity and ostensibly accurate.
I use this for home baking. Before this, I was using a 5kg scale (accurate to 1g) for larger items like flour or sugar, plus a smaller 2kg scale (accurate to 0.1g) for measuring things like yeast or leavening. I got the 10kg version of this scale so I could have a larger weighing surface and capacity, plus the accuracy of my smaller scale. So far it works as expected, and I’m quite happy with it.I don’t have a set of test weights so I can’t speak to strict accuracy, but trying out a random assortment of objects on my old smaller scale vs this new one resulted in weights that were consistent, with the new scale registering each object about 0.2g more than my old one, so that works for my purposes. I don’t have any scales that are accurate to more than 5kg so I also can’t speak to accuracy in that range. It’s nice to have this much capacity. I can make a full batch of cookie dough and continually tare the workbowl before measuring the next ingredients, without worrying about overloading it. Making a big batch of tea, or brine for poultry is easy now that I can measure multiple quarts and liters of water directly into the stockpot.I’m using only battery power (it comes with an AC adapter but I prefer the portability and open counter space) and the cheap Amazon 9-volts are lasting for longer than I was expecting. I use the scale almost every day, for maybe 15 minutes a day on average, and I go through a new battery every 45-60 days or so. The battery indicator on the main LCD display shows the status on a scale of 3 bars, so you have a rough idea of where things stand. The feet are easy to adjust, so much so that picking up the scale and moving it around can move them out of whatever position they were in, so I find myself adjusting one or two each time I move it around on the counter. It would be nice if there were rubber washers or something to make them stay in place a little more, but it’s not a dealbreaker. The bubble-level display on the back makes it easy to align the scale plumb to the countertop. My only other complaint is the downward facing edges of the metal tray are somewhat sharp and not rounded. Since I use the scale for food items, sometimes flour or whatever gets on the surface of the scale underneath the tray, and wiping this area with a towel entails getting my fingers near the tray edges, which can easily cause cuts. If you are using the scale in a similar (messy) capacity, be mindful of this when cleaning it.

Good scale. It works on AC also - you just need that cord.
The company replaced the item promptly when it did not work on battery. Please note that the scale works on AC even if the battery is out, you just need that cord, I used one from a different scale that coincidentally works fine.

Do not recommend for baking
This scale is well-made, except the legs are a bit wobbly. It is slightly inaccurate at heavier weights, according to my other scales, about .7 to 1.2 grams off once you cross 1 kg. It does have about a 3-4 second delay in reading, which isn't ideal for measuring liquids. Overall, if you aren't measuring liquids and don't need exact, fine readings, then it is okay.

Quality item. Incomplete informatiom.
I purchased the 5 kg/0.1 gm capable unit, as it will allow me to accurately measure all the ingredients in my bread recipes with a single unit, from many cups' worth of flour to fractions of a gram of yeast. I am impressed by the value this item gives for your dollar. I am however disappointed that although the documentation for this model (5 kg limit) tells you how to perform your own calibration, it does not say what size calibration weight to use. All the other models apparently use a calibration weight equal to their limiting specification, but for this model the chart just shows "--" instead of a weight. I hesitate to purchase a 5 kilogram calibration weight unless I can be assured that a weight that heavy/expensive is what is really required. I am aware that the unit has been calibrated before being shipped, but that calibration will not last forever, and proper experimental protocol requires that I periodically recalibrate by a specific procedure before each test sequence. Other than this issue, I am very pleased with my purchase.

Failed after 3 months, not suited for lab conditions either
When weighing, the scale rarely indicates the last 0.1 gram, i have to touch the scale, let it settle down, then it will register the last 0.1 g. I have calibrated the scale twice, each time it was very easy. But the scale stopped working 4 days after the product support ended. Piece of junk.

Scale drift and eventual bugs
The scale functioned fairly well for around 8 months. It had some scale drift, especially with smaller measurements. But for a scale with this wide a range for this price, it was pretty decent. However, recently our scale drift was worse than normal, so we ended up recalibrating. Afterwards the unit selection for gram was a decimal point off. Meaning 2.0g was reading as 20.0g, it's still accurate, but always a decimal point off.As I said it's still somewhat usable, but not as lab equipment. I can no longer trust in the reliability of the information the scale is telling me, and lab sheets aren't open to interpretation. If you're buying this for home use, id probably still recommend it. If you're actually buying it for laboratory purposes, its unfortunately a deal too good to be true.
