Haakaa really nailed it with some of the upgrades that they made to the new haakaa. I feel like they really listened to moms on this one so kudos to them. The base is significantly more stable than the original haakaa that I had which is huge because I was always afraid I would knock it over. In addition the fact that the newer generation comes apart for cleaning is HUGE. Bravo Haakaa.

I have only had this for two weeks. At first, I LOVED it, the easiest pump with the most output. But over time it loses suction. It has lost suction and fallen off and spilled many times now and it is extremely frustrating! It has me ‘literally’ crying over spilled milk! Maybe if you are only catching an ounce at a time it’s better, but for me I catch 3-4 at a time per side and each time it is so frustrating to lose that much milk, not to mention the mess.

I own multiple haakaas & I’ve never had issues. I’m so disappointed I ordered the 8oz because I fill the 5oz full. However I should’ve stuck with the 5oz this one with the extra plastic ring is way to heavy it falls off & wont fill at all because it’s so heavy it can’t get a good suction. I threw the box away because I didn’t expect to ever have a issue when I own so many. I’d like them to send me a small version hopefully they make this right since I paid 30$ for nothing.

Haakaa’s manual pumps are a must have for anyone who’s planning to breastfeed. I have a few of their original models and I like how this new generation has mix and match pieces. The downside of this being three separate pieces is that there’s more parts to wash (the top flange, seal, and bottle) versus just washing the whole manual pump when it’s one piece. You need to make sure you take this apart, so that it can dry completely and nothing gets left in the middle seal. Also this doesn’t have a suction bottom like my other ones have. I love the suction base because then if you accidentally bump the surface you set it down on there’s less of a chance it’ll spill. I’ve had that happen before and it’s not a good feeling when you do all the hard work to pump and then it spills everywhere. Overall I definitely love how the haakaa works and it suctions comfortably to my skin. Just wish this had a suction base to prevent spills and didn’t take as long to clean.

This is my favorite brand! I love that you’re able to change the tops for various uses and ages. The bottom is silicone! I will forever use this brand.

I’ve used this brand during my previous breastfeeding journeys. Over the past few years, it has been upgraded a few times. I feel like it’s a lot easier to wash now and definitely a lot more durable. The suction piece is soft comfortable. This is definitely a must have for breastfeeding and exclusively pumping moms!

I really wanted to love this as I do love the generation 1 and 2 but it is so heavy when on. They also were painful for me personally. They also don’t seem to keep suction compared to generation 1 and 2.

Concept is brilliant and I love that the gen3 products can be mixed and used together (all of the nipples, lids, breast pump attachments can be used interchangeably as all the parts fit together-this makes it sooo much easier on tired moms not having to figure out which part goes with which item). Love the flexibility and options these gen3 products allow. This breast pump however isn’t as great as the original haaka-the suction isn’t as strong and the bottle attached is heavier/bulkier/bigger so it’s difficult to use if you’re trying to breastfeed at the same time. I’ve tried using the haaka storage container (which is shorter in size) in place of the bottle but it compromised the suction since the larger bottle allows for more air to be sucked in prior to attaching it. If you’re using it while pumping though, it’s great in that you can detach the top and put a lid/nipple on it to easily convert into a bottle. No transferring of milk needs to be done and it’s super convenient and easy to pop a nipple into the top to have ready to drink/fresh milk for your child.
