Though the rug clips are actually very good for the use they were intended for, my needs were for the clips to hang from a two by four not a one inch metal hanger. I have to wash rugs often (pet who decided; it's easier to use the big pooch pad rather then to go out in the cold.) and hanging the rugs on these clamps worked perfectly except for the issue of the support. Not a product problem - just a off label usage problem.Big hammer and a vice solved my problem. Big hammer could solve other problem - just kidding.

I needed clips to hang a small quilt that I made. They are very heavy and sturdy, a plus, I just wish they fit over a regular door. This is why 4 stars and not 5. I hung the quilt from closet lover doors with slates that are thin.

These are very heavy duty. They suspend a very heavy Persian Rug on a wall as needed.
