Lands' End Women's Ultralight Packable Long Down Coat

This warm, down Lands End coat is exactly what I needed. I like the vertical seams design, the deep blue navy exterior and brighter royal blue lining, and like that it kept me very warm during the recent polar vortex. The coat’s length also kept my bottom and thighs warm in my cold car seat even though it’s a petite, a harder-to-find size in coats. I generally buy L-XL, and got XL P so I can layer underneath, and it’s still roomy enough when zipped. The stretchy cuff prevented heat loss and the hood covered my neck plus my head. It's strictly for dry weather, even though it can tolerate a very light rain (water repellant up to a point) and it dries quickly when hung up. I own a new, very thick, very heavy waterproofed coat, but it made me sweat. This lighter one doesn’t, so the trade-off is comfortly versus staying totally dry. Well, I’ll just carry an umbrella in a downpour. I was so happy with this purchase, so I bought a shorter version in a different (periwinkle-ish) color. I can wear either of these when it’s cold and windy until Spring.

This is really a nice coat, very light weight, seems pretty warm too. I'm 5 feet tall and 110 lbs, the petite medium fit great.

Lightweight but very warm. Neck snaps up over nose blocking wind. Great for all weather. I like the longer length.

Fits nice. Nice quality. Light weight easy to pack. Perfect for mild fall/winter weather. Not very warm in lower temp.

Recommended size medium I ordered the same size recommended, medium. It is extremely oversized and long like I'm playing dress up. At least 4" on both sides at the waist, about 2" both sides at the hip. The length hit me AT THE KNEE. Not as short as the photo shows. For reference I am 5'9, 135 lbs. Size 6 Pear/hourglass shape. Size small would probably be better and still have room The zipper is nice quality as is the jacket itself bit the sizing is way off.

I have Michael Kors packable coat for many years, it started to get small tears, which I cover with patches. My coat is black, it’s hard to see patches. But I decided, it is time to let it go. I bought Land’s End coat. It has a strange fit, not flattering at all. It is extremely thin, maybe if you live in Florida. I am definitely returning this coat
