This works as a personal luggage (jet blue) and works perfectly for a 17in laptop. I love the different compartments (shoes, wet, interior, etc.). For me the chest strap adds support to minimize shoulder pain. However, if you have over 34” chest size and/or over cup B size I don’t think the chest strap will close. That is the only downside from this bag, that the chest strap doesn’t have enough webbing to adjust as needed. Other than that the backpack is perfect.

I have not yet traveled with this but it looks like exactly what I was looking for. Multiple pockets and sections including one for wet bathing suit or dirty shoes. Perfect for 2-3 day weekend. Compression straps are included.
