The set is two packs of 7, both packs the same. Each pack has 4 different purples, 2 different pinks, and a white. If you have two little girls to give them to, you'd have one complete pack for each. You could also fill most of an advent calendar with these.The lip glosses have a bit of color in them. The bottles are clear, so the color you see in the bottom half of each gloss is the color of the gloss. The color shows up on your lips, but the color goes away if you blend it into your lip. For most of them, the scent and taste are like you'd expect for lipstick. The white one, though, smells and tastes like some kind of nasty medicine. Just the scent of it makes me feel nauseous. I'll be throwing away the white ones before giving them to the kids. The pinks and purples seem fine.The glosses are the brush-on liquid kind, with a brush attached to each lid. You dip the brush into the bottle and apply the gloss with the brush. Two of the product photos show this kind. One of the product photos shows the kind of solid lip gloss that you hold to your lips to rub on; there are none like that in this set. They are all the brush-on liquid kind. I'd prefer that lip glosses for kids be the solid rub-on kind because the bottles of liquid gloss can spill.SUPERVISE KIDSYou might want to keep the glosses in a location where an adult can supervise the girls playing with them so they don't end up spilled.Also, the bottles are either glass or some kind of breakable hard plastic, which is another reason to supervise the kids while they are using the glosses. When I threw away the white glosses, I dropped them into a cardboard box, on the carpeted floor, that was only about 6 inches away from me, and one of the bottles cracked all the way around.The girls will have fun playing beauty parlor with all the purples and pinks.

My daughter loves all of these colors and she has so many to pick from makes her full like a big girl.. she's 8.

This lip gloss set would be good to give as a gift or use as a stocking stuffer. You get multiples (2 sets) of each color (7 colors total) so you could break them up and give them to two separate people.For a toddler/tween they're the perfect set allow your child to feel more "grown up" without the colors being too dramatic or bright - they're age appropriate. The glosses apply smoothly and the coverage is comparable to other lip glosses on the market. They do need to be touched up throughout the day but as a dress up/play kit they're decent quality.
