This is as close to a professional flat top that you can probably get without actually buying what they use in restaurants
For those who need to feed a small army and feed them quickly, this is a great tool. If you camp with a small group (under 10) , then this might be overkill. I could also see this being very useful for an outdoor caterer, family re-unions, or maybe even a food truck. If you watch Food Network's Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, then the first thing you'll notice is that the surface is comparable to anything you'd see on that show. This flat top grill is pretty amazing and really speaks to the versatility of the camp chef stoves. I have many kids, and when we go camping it's usually with multiple families across 2-4 camp sites, so the total number of people who need to be fed can range into the 20s. Breakfast is usually the trickiest meal, as everyone takes out their portable camp stoves, cook wear, etc. to make the usual fare of bacon, eggs, pancakes, etc. This gets the job done, but takes up a lot of table space and creates a lot of mess. Having the flat top on a free-standing stove allows us to "centralize" breakfast, eliminating most of the morning chaos. This griddle also allows me to cook everything for everyone in just a couple passes, while eliminating the need to take up valuable table space with portable stoves, cook gear, ingredients/food, etc. I have the three-burner version of this griddle, and while it *seemed* big online, it is even bigger in person. The cooking area would let you serve a pretty large group in 2-3 passes, leaving only one thing that needs to be cleaned up, rather than 4-5 (or more) frying pans, pots, etc. The griddle itself is very heavy. The underside comes with heat diffusion plates to spread heat over the entire cooking surface better. Although I have not noticed any significant hot spots, it may be that I have not used the griddle long enough to find them yet. I would imagine that there are some, but if so, they are minimized. I know that in general, Camp Chef makes quality products, but I underestimated how thick heavy the steel surface would be. This is not made of the same cheap-o materials that you get at a big-box discount store. For a "real world" reference point, the steel is thicker and heavier than most car doors or hoods. Image a really nice frying pan, except it's HUGE. It's probably the nicest piece of cookwear I own, and seems like it can take a lot of use and abuse. Because it's so heavy, this may not be a good purchase for someone who has trouble lifting heavy things, but no matter what your strength, I suggest getting the carry bag at the same time. I thought I'd be able to keep it in the box, and I probably could for a while, but the bag will make it easier to carry and transport. As far as downsides are concerned, two things related to transporting it: (1) the welded-on handle is exceptionally durable, but not that comfortable. It does not bother me to carry it by the handle, but I see how the narrow, rounded steel "loop" could dig into people's hands if they have to carry it far or have small or really large hands. (It fits me fine, however.) (2) This should come with a carry bag, even if it means Camp Chef charges more. Camp Chef may even want to consider a wheeled carry bag for it as the optional add-on. It seems to weigh as much--if not more--than the three-burner stove itself and is would be difficult to manage by someone who is physically weak or has health problems that do not allow him or her to carry heavy objects. (I did not actually compare the specs online, so it may be lighter than the stove and just awkward to carry, but my point is that carrying the griddle is comparable to carrying the stove itself. For two people to carry the griddle, however, it should be a breeze.)

Phenomenally great! We own two and they are fantastic!
We purchased our first one for use along with the 2-burner and single-burner units for our motorhome with the PRO90 Camp Chef stove. This one is HUGE and can handle cooking a party's worth of food for family and guests. Generally fairly consistent over the entire area, but obviously a little hotter directly above the burners. Heats quickly and we almost never go very much above the lowest burner settings to get to at least 400℉. We love the modularity of the Camp Chef Stove and own virtually all the various components. We use this one when we have a large amount of food to go on a griddle. We bought a second Camp Chef PRO 90X for permanent fixture on our patio along with our grill. We added another 3-burner griddle as a permanent fixture on that stove. Great for making breakfasts any time of the year outside. The griddles are not the easiest to clean, but work well with scraper, chainmail, and wipes. We always use a very thin coating of oil while still warm to prevent rust until our next use. All in all, this griddle is really, REALLY great! It's an easy FIVE STARS for us both as a permanent griddle, and one with the case that we carry in our Motorhome! Perfect and an honest and VERY hearty recommendation! *If you found my review helpful to you, please let Amazon know by clicking the "HELPFUL" button below!

Great griddle
Really nice item to grill on. Needs to be seasoned and instructions are pretty easy to do so. Fits the grill like a glove. Just make sure you pick the right size depending on the number of burners you have on your camp stove. There a models for 2 and 3 burners.

Works great!
I have used this for all kinds of breakfast foods and making stirfry so far. Excellent quality and cooking. It is big, heavy, and well built. Great value for the price. I bought this with the 3 burner Rovsun propane stove and have absolutely no problems at all. Treat it like a very large iron skillet as far as cleaning and care. When I am not using it I condition it and wrap it in a clean, NON-fragrant trash bag to keep moisture away from it and cover it with my grill cover. This griddle is going to last a very long time. A very useful tool and A LOT of cooking surface.

Takes time to season but cooks very evenly
Perfect fit for my Camp Chef 3x Denali stove that I purchased at Costco 7 years ago. The griddle arrived today and spent all afternoon seasoning with coconut oil. Never went past medium on my stove and let the smoke cause the griddle to discolor slightly. Once oil was smoky white and burnt off, I added more oil and spread around with a brush. Did this a few times until griddle was discolored and well seasoned. As you season your griddle you'll see the bolts where the diffusers were welded on. I think this is normal. Once the griddle was seasoned after 3 cycles, I cooked some sausages and eggs and perfect no-stick. The key is to get a deep season to produce that non-stick surface. Why only 4 stars instead of 5? For $100+ I wish they supplied a cup to catch the drain. I'm unable to find a tin can that fits the ring they supplied. I may end up cutting the ring to make it fit my tomato can. UPDATE (8/4/2018): After cooking for a camping trip this past week I've upgraded this review to a 5. The griddle works very well. The drain catch does what its suppose to all the food I cooked was eaten by our group. Not sure why people are complaining about the drain catch, I found an unused kids cup and placed it in the cup holder for the catch and all bacon/burger fat was caught. I had to make sure that the 4-legs of my 3-burner stove were adjusted so the oil would drip slightly to the bottom left. Highly recommended if you're cooking regularly for a party of 8+ people. Important things to note: 1) Do not go past medium on your CampChef stove, it will cause food to burn and with an unseasoned griddle cause the food to stick. 2) Season well before use. I set the burners to medium for 2 minutes, put oil until white smoke came out and let the oil burn for another 2 minutes. I then added more oil and cycled through this 5 times 3) After every use, remove food particles by leaving the griddle on and pouring cold water and let the griddle sizzle for a few seconds and scrape off the excess food. Scrub hard with a flat metal spatula to remove stuck food. Afterward, when the heat has dried up all the water, add more oil and spread around. The griddle should look shiny once you're done. 4) Be very careful not to grab the folding handle when cooking it gets very very hot! 5) When not in use, keep covered and seasoned to prevent rust.

More Warped than the Millennium Falcon
I am a professional chef with more than 30 years of kitchen and cooking experience. This thing warped after 2 uses. I never took it over 425F, as measured by a infrared thermometer. I was cooking taco meat on this one day and it went full warp. Customer service says they don't cover warping. I also own a Blackstone that I have been cooking on for several years, never once did it do anything like this. This griddle is junk. Avoid at all costs. Edit: they ended up replacing it. We shall see how the new one holds up.

Heavy duty Griddle
This is a heavy duty griddle for a three burner Camp Chef. It is a cast iron not a stainless steel and must weigh 40 lbs. Remember start the burners on low/medium flame. This griddle will get plenty hot. To high and you can warp the Griddle. Update- 7-26-2020 this is a awesome griddle, it does take some TLC when not being used. I just ordered the bag for it. If left out on the stove and you clean an oiled it it will get dirty n dusty... we are going camping with a large family group and I can’t wait to use this for breakfast. My stove came with a smaller griddle, so now I have some options.

Fantastic Griddle!
Love this griddle! Have used it many times now and it is so nice! Naturally non-sick and SUPER easy to clean. Only thing is it is heavy, which I like, but it might be a bit too heavy for small statured people. Be careful not to over heat it if using on a Camp Chef stove, and never go past half power on the burners. Those 30,000 btu burners can ruin/warp any flat top if run wide open! I always start mine out on the lowest setting and bring it slowly up to temp monitoring with an infrared thermometer. I expect this will last many many years, very happy with it!
