Nice
Work perfectly, run relatively cool

Great little buck converter
I make a lot of microcontroller devices that need a 5V power supply. I like to use a 9V plug and this steps down the power to a solid 5V. After being powered on for several hours, it is still cool and doesn't require any kind of heat sink or fan. I've enjoyed using them instead of other options I have used in the past. I really like the small size and simple use.

Pleasantly surprised. Small footprint, steady output
Pleasantly surprised by these little boards. I tested a couple before attaching one to a real device, and it was a rock solid 5.00v output. Very happy with these

QC Issue, but otherwise fine
Mixed report. 4ea worked fine, but 1ea a resistor fell off in transit (poorly soldered) and was floating free in the bag. Quiescent current draw is 7ma. BTW: Outside of my expertise, but worth mentioning just in case the following is uncommon. If you disconnect supply power to the input of this module, any power source (e.g. a 3.2v backup coin battery, or a MCU programmer) that is connected to the output side of this module will meet a 300mA load. (This may be common to all buck converters, worth checking into)

Quality Components
Quite happy with these. They seem to have a thermal protection feature as well. I overloaded one a bit and it got to north of 60° C before shutting itself off and recovering. Saved me from resoldering a new one!

Does not accept the specified input voltage.
These do not work to the specified input voltage limits. I needed these to generate 5 volts from a power supply that outputs 27.5 volts. The listing says that they are rated to 30 volts on the input. They seemed to work fine during testing with my 24 volt bench supply but when I moved them to the supply that outputs 27.5 volts they failed. I had two in a row fail at this voltage. When I tested a third using my programable supply it cut out when the input voltage reached 27 volts.

Inconsistent quiescent power
Amazing miniature buck converters. I actually found several that worked but consumed a lot of quiescent power. These are ok in not power sensitive circuits but was a headache in mine. I couldn't find the current draw. Finally started checking and some were drawing 30ma quiescent power. Others use almost none. There is no spec on how much they are supposed to draw when not in use. The one I selected used below .1ma.

High build quality and functional
Tested two of these at 5V and 3.3V output, and both work great. The PCB quality is remarkably high and the components are neatly mounted. Arrived well packaged too. Quality for the price I paid is very high. Managed to adjust the voltage without trouble. Soldering headers on to them was a bit challenging because the through holes don't align on a breadboard. Overall, very pleased with the purchase. Well done and keep it up!
