Very nice vacuum trimmer!
Purchased this to replace an old Phillips vaccum trimmer for giving myself haircuts. The newer models from Phillips were a pain to empty/clean and never held up, so I was looking for a different option. Tried this and have been super happy with it. I always keep my hair cut very short and give myself haircuts. This trimmer is super smooth and has never pulled any hair while cutting. It is easy to adjust to the the desired cutting length and the vacuum portion works VERY well. The vacuum feature actually works better on this trimmer than the old Phillips trimmers...and MUCH easier to cleanout the hair as you go than the newer Phillips models. Highly-recommended! In fact, I recently purchased a second one for giving my elderly father haircuts to replace an older Wahl trimmer that had broken.

Works as advertised. Highly Recommend.
I have had this trimmer for a year now or so and absolutely love it. I use this all the time and it works great. I'm always amazed after trimming when I open up the collection compartment and see how much hair was sucked into it. I goes for weeks without needing to be charged. I highly recommend this trimmer.

Decent cut, quiet, and keeps your sink nice and neat
So I've been cutting my own hair (and trimming my beard) for the past 25 years... ever since I was in the military. Simple buzz cuts. Short back and sides, starting with a #2 clipper comb and fading up to the top which is typically at a #6 comb. But it makes a mess and I've been laying down a sheet of plastic to cover the sink area every time I cut it. I had my doubts about this unit, but it seems to perform well thus far. I was actually surprised at how quiet it is and how easily it cut. And as I was cutting my hair, I kept checking the little hopper that catches the hair. You don't want to pack it up or the vacuum level will drop a bit and you might start to get some hair in the sink. So I emptied it a few times during the cut (only takes a few seconds to empty it). Things to know... the sizes are different... do NOT assume the numbers are your standard clipper comb sizes. they are actually in millimeters. So for those of you accustomed to the standardized combs, here's what you need to know: 1 (1/8in) 3mm 2 (1/4in) 6mm 3 (3/8in) 10mm 4 (1/2in) 13mm 5 (5/8in) 16mm 6 (3/4in) 19mm The height adjustment dial goes from 1-10 with the shorter comb attachment, and 11-20 with the longer one. So if you're used to using combs beyond a #6, this cutter will NOT adjust that far. You can dial it to 20 at most which is a bit beyond a #6 but not a 7. In any case, I did a full haircut and beard trim, and there were very few hairs in the sink when I was done (quick wipe to clean them out with a damp rag). The vacuum really does work and really does capture more than 99% of everything. This being my first time using it, I was extra careful and really took my time, especially at the beginning. It didn't run out of charge during that extended use, so that's another bonus. I may get daring enough to try it for a second time a few weeks from now when I do another cut... but it would be really bad if it ran out of juice mid-cut. So I'm not sure I want to test it like that. Which brings me to the one drawback I see... no indicator of how much battery remains. Other than that, it's a nice trimmer and easy to figure out and use. I almost never give 5 stars on a first review... it may earn a fifth star once I've owned it a while and the durability seems okay. Or it could lose some... time will tell!

Fantastic trimmer! Seriously!
I bought this to replace a practically new trimmer (less than a year old) made by another name brand that is awful compared to this. The old one has all of the clip on size combs and they're all over the place, the trimmer blades yank and pull my whiskers out and it hurts like crazy. I was really disappointed with it especially because it was a name brand. This one is better in EVERY conceivable way. It cut my whiskers so beautifully I wasn't sure it was even cutting but it absolutely was! Totally painless and smooth cutting and it was sucking up all the whiskers as it went, absolutely genius. Why didn't anyone do this before? I didn't have a single whisker on my black shirt (mine are white and Grey) It worked flawlessly for me. I love the dial size setting. I started with 4 next time I'll go 6 and it should be about perfect. I sprung for this deluxe model with titanium coated blades and and LED display that shows how much battery you have left. Glad I did. It comes with only 2 combs that work with the dial to set size One is like 1mm to 10mm and the larger one is like 10mm to 20mm. So much better than having a dozen combs all over the place and only use 1 or 2. Emptying the hair tray was easy, just pop off the comb, slide the tray open, dump it in the trash and clean the compartment and blades with the supplied brush. Simple. I saw videos of some guys using this thing really fast like buzz saw then complaining it didn't suck up all the hair. Duh. Lol it's easy just cut against the grain and go slightly slower to allow it to suck up as it goes. Worked perfectly for me. And I didn't go much slower than I normally do. The only thing that slightly disappointed me was that it didn't come with a stand of any kind to put it on my shelf. I think at 60 bucks they could have included one for such an incredibly nice trimmer but I won't hold it against them because it works so great. It came with the 2 combs, a charging cord that only works with this unit, it's proprietary. Blade oil and instructions. All in all, I love this trimmer. If it holds up a long time I'll be thrilled. UPDATE 10-23-25 : I have owned this unit for 2 years now, I it has worked beautifully. The trick is to slow down your shaving strokes a bit so that the vacuum has a chance to suck the hair in well. If you go too fast, it won't get all of it but will still get most of it. Like 80-90%, I still absolutely love this trimmer, it trims my goatee beautifully with no pulling or pain. I'm going to buy an extra one just in case I ever need it because I like it so much. Most people I see having problems with it, simply are not using it correctly. Most folks try to go way to fast like they are using a regular clipper, just slow down a bit, let it do the work and have time to suck the hair in. If you go too fast, you will clog the blades and a lot of hair will end up on the floor and sink because it didn't get sucked in. 😊

Less mess!
This is great for containing the mess. Know the chamber where it stores hair is not large so be sure to clean it often. Biggest issue is where the blades are. Using this without the guides for a closer trim doesn't work well as you cannot really see the blades where they are placed. You will likely need a second trimmer for those closer spots. Adding more cost to an item that is already double similar options. If you can pick up something that also has things like a nose trimmer included to cover the rest. But I wouldn't recommend this as a stand-alone option.

I have been a very reluctant trimmer for decades mainly due to the excessive mess trimming with a standard beard trimmer makes. I always end up with a full beard before tackling the task. Longer hairs are easier to gather when cleaning up. Well not anymore thanks to this vacuum trimmer and it actually works. I was rather sceptical about buying one, but reading and watching reviews of it in action I decided to take the chance. I needed a new trimmer and so this was the perfect time to give it a go myself. What a difference it makes. Not only does it give a clean even trim, but it sucks up the vast majority of the trimmings, even when long (10mm +/-). What is missed by the vacuum can easily be washed away down the plughole as it is considerably less than what was left in the basin after gathering up the trimmings from the conventional beard trimmer. Trimming more regularly reduces the clippings that make it past the vacuum to nearly none existent. Great product that does what it says and is a well thought out beard trimmer. The length dial is brilliant and emptying the hair collection compartment is easy.

I was somewhat sceptical that it would vacuum the beard hair, but so far works great- no mess in the sink. Plenty of choices for beard length.

I could not find another product as good as this, tried a few over the years and this is the only one I found now available that works well. Would buy again.

This was a gift for my son who is very fussy about mess around the bathroom sink. This adjustaber shaver with built-in vacuum simplifies his beard trimming ritual. No need for various additional pieces, only adjust the dial to set it for the desired length. It also works for body hair removal and you do not see the cut hairs all over the bathroom - they stay in the chamber of the built in vacuum. and are easily disposed of. Very practical and easy to use. Highly recommend it.

Have used this for at least a month. The vacuum suction is good, picks up most of the hairs. But the blades don't cut very well, and the way its designed means that it can shorter than the intended length, so basically is useless, unless you want to cut on the shortest setting.
