The JBL Boombox 3 has been very impressive so far. The sound quality is powerful, clear, and well-balanced, with deep bass that doesn’t overpower the mids and highs. It easily fills a room or outdoor space and sounds great across different music styles. Battery life has also met my expectations. I can use it for long listening sessions without constantly worrying about recharging, which makes it perfect for trips, gatherings, or just moving it around the house. Overall, this speaker delivers exactly what I was hoping for in both sound and battery performance. I’m very happy with the purchase and would recommend the JBL Boombox 3 to anyone looking for a high-quality portable speaker.

This speaker is amazing! Long story, but I bought it on accident, I didn't think I'd ever be okay paying this much for a speaker, but I can't go back. I listen to music all day every day. I have a few different speakers & headphones... JBL Charge 4 JBL Vibe Beam Apple earbuds (pro & regular) Some other brands of speakers that are less notable, the list goes on... There's something lacking in each one, mostly the volume and bass quality. For working out I dance, and I like my music LOUD. This speaker is IT. It's the only (non-club/concert) speaker I've ever though, wow - that's too loud, I should turn it down. The first time I turned it on I was blown away. It's pretty big and heavy, but I guess that just comes with the huge amount of sound it produces. I feel like the battery life is okay. I really only use it in the house so I don't need it to last very long. It charges relatively fast and I haven't had any issues with connectivity. Super user friendly. It's seriously the best (home) speaker I've ever heard. I'd say it's definitely worth the price.

I gave this speaker five stars because of the sound it produces and the build quality of the speaker itself. The description states that this speaker is waterproof, but I have not tested that and hopefully I won't have to. I generally do not give an item five stars, but this product is exceptional. It has a very nice bass and treble tone mix, and when turned up to a high volume, it does not produce any buzzing or static or any indication that it is too much power for the speaker to handle. It still has a very nice balance and perfect mix of treble and bass to hear all the instruments and vocals of not only music but also videos that have a narrator talking and the sound is very clean. I downloaded the JBL Connect App from Google Play Store which allows you to easily connect the speaker to your phone (although the app download is not necessary because the speaker performs very well without the app and connects easily to your phone without using the app anyway), rename it to whatever you wish to call it, update the software, and use a mixer on it if you wish to do that (I don't generally use the mixer so I just allow the speaker software pre-amp to handle the mix for me and it does a very clean job of it). I must add that this product is pretty heavy just like the reviews stated. It's heavy enough that the plastic hinges on the strap that came with the case broke the very first time I used it (this wasn't a big issue for me because I had another padded, well-built, sturdy strap with metal hinges from a guitar case that I purchased a long time ago that I ended up using on this speaker case after throwing the original one that came with the case away). But I almost dropped the speaker because the hinges broke (and they broke on both ends of the strap - luckily, I was quick enough to catch it before it hit the ground - and it was in the case, so I'm not sure if it would have gotten damaged - but at the price I paid, $139.00 for the speaker with the case included, I sure am glad it didn't fall). And, of course, the case is probably not manufactured by JBL, so it's not particularly a design flaw on their part but rather a reflection of poor quality on whoever makes the case rather than the Bluetooth speaker itself. But I couldn't help think to myself, "Why would the manufacturers of this product (the case) include a strap that has plastic snap-on hinges knowing how heavy the product is that it will contain?" (Like I mentioned before, I'm not sure who manufactured the case, so this did not affect my rating on the speaker itself - but they need to change the design of the plastic hinges and put metal hinges on the strap). The power cord that comes with the speaker is not a USB C as I expected. I was pleasantly surprised that it has a two-prong rounded socket connection that goes to the speaker on one end and a three-prong wall socket plug on the other end on a sturdy electrical cord. The speaker was already charged and ready for use when I received it. I used it for a few hours before I actually plugged the speaker into an outlet. It gave me no indication that it was going to die anytime soon so I'm not sure how much of a charge it had initially. And it seems to last a pretty long time after I took the charging cord off although I didn't actually time it and it still has not given an indication that it's running low on battery. I have used it to listen to a wide variety of music (everything from classical music to heavy metal, Rap, and R & B genres) and for a few YouTube videos like news, and videos that have a narrator talking, but I plan to use it for sound to watch movies since it seems to do pretty well on the YouTube videos. Overall, I am very satisfied with the quality of this speaker. I have a JBL Charge 5 that I was pretty impressed with and this speaker easily out-performs the JBL Charge 5 by far. The Boombox 3 has way better bass and volume. I will try and update this review as I use the speaker more and will let you know if I find any flaws with the speaker itself but so far I can't find anything negative to say about it. Mike V. This thing is awesome. I’ve had several brands of smaller Bluetooth speakers through the years, and they’re all great for smaller areas (cooking in kitchen, fishing on kayak, hanging out by a fire), but none of them had enough power in my shop while working with power tools or boiling crawfish. This thing fills my shop with ease. The quality is great, very well built! I just paired it with the TV in the shop so I can hear the games while working, so it’s compatible with lots of things. The sound is great, the bass is even greater. Sharp thumps with no fuzz or rattling. I want more just to pair them together, but really don’t need them bc how loud this thing gets. I’d give 10 stars if I could!

Super expensive but sounds great! I don't regret buying it at all. But it is way more expensive than it needs to be. Battery life lasts about 3 hours when cranked up all the way. The best thing is that you can continue to use it while it is plugged in. It is waterproof and does float. Anytime it gets dirty i just rinse it off. But beware it will continue to drain water out of it for hours so don't set it on a surface that it will ruin after you get it wet. Sound quality is very good. Bass is strong and it is very loud. If I am in the garage with the doors closed you can here it in the street so don't under estimate it. Also you have to use the app to set it up which was kinda of dumb but it does allow you to tweak the sound which was a very nice feature. you will notice though it lags a bit when connecting when you turn it on and when it disconnects when you shut it off which is no big deal but definitely can be improved upon. Over all for a portable speaker system there isn't really anything out there that can touch this for sound quality, durability or how loud it can go while still have clarity. This is probably why JBL charges a serious premium for it. You will also notice it does have some weight to it so it is not something you would want to carry around all day. I also notice it does improve the sound a bit if you leave it plugged in while using it is you are going to listen to it real loud. If you buy it, you wont regret it. I sure don't. I use it very frequently to the dismay of my neighbors

I have two of these Boombox 3's and together, they're awesome!! Great sound and clean, solid bass! I've used these for parties with 130 guests and the sound is perfect to have for a cocktail hour. Speakers are hidden under tables and the music is still clear. While "louder" than the Boombox 2, the battery does not last as long as the 2 at full volume. I own the Boombox 2's and I had all 3 out at a party and the 3's died about an hour before the 2's. The 3's last just over 5 hours.

Really good sound quality from a portable speaker. I really like this thing, it lasts a really long time and connects with other JBL speakers. My only complaint is it can’t connect with the giant JBL partybox - no reason JBL couldn’t keep the standard the same for all their products. Otherwise happy, this thing knocks
