Great sturdy wallet with a strong magnet
Awesome product. I am able to just carry one wallet because of this item. It takes 4 cards and some bills. Magnet is super strong. Worth the price.

Best way to carry cards at a medieval faire...
New review written 15 December 2025: My first MagSafe wallet lasted for a few years until the magnets pulled out in a ring. There is a video of that made by another reviewer which shows exactly the fail mode. After that happened, I purchased another, same thing. A year later, had the magnets pulled out. So I buy another. I have #5 on the way. I use the MagSafe wallet a lot when at a medieval faire on weekends, otherwise, I use it only when I want to carry my ID, a credit card, and a couple bills of cash. I like the latch, which is why I keep buying these, as I'm confident no cards will work their way loose and out. Is it rugged? It does what I need it to, that is handle 50 days a year of active performing on stage, hiking, and other active stuff. Never had an issue with it opening, so that fact makes it worth it. The failure mode where the magnets pull out? You will notice it when some start to go. You probably have 1-3 removal cycles before the plastic cover over the ring is completely gone. It sucks, but at least, in my experience, it gives you warning, and still keeps the wallet in place. However, most people are not going to place the wallet on the phone and remove it as often as I do, where at faire, the wallet is on the phone, but when I leave, the wallet gets placed on a metal surface in my vehicle, where it stays until needed again, so I probably do a lot more removals than most people probably about 100+ a year. I'm still going to give it five stars, as there is nothing else out there that gives the peace of mind this does, especially when doing active stuff. However, I expect to replace mine every year.

Unexpected lack of quality from Pelican
I’ve purchased quite a few Pelican products in my life and always received very high quality. I’d say the quality and durability of Pelican products normally surpasses what is needed for most applications. So I was very surprise to pick up my Pelican iPhone wallet case from a metal base plate for a laptop stand I keep on my desk and find that the magnet ring was pulled out from the case. The magnet was stronger than the material used to keep it in the case. It ripped it out. I pressed it back in so it is in a workable condition but I am concerned that the case will fall off my iPhone now. I’ll try to reach out to support to see what they can do. I hope they will be able to replace it or offer a refund. UPDATE: Customer service is top notch. They quickly replaced the wallet. Upgraded rating to four stars. Still concerned that the magnet will be pulled out of this new one so I'll have to be careful with it.

Strongest MagSafe accessory yet
I really enjoy the wallet. Even with the case on my phone this thing a solid. It doesn’t want to come off or anything. I really love it. The only thing I don’t like is that you can hold up to a maximum of four cards on the right side. On the left side, there’s a small rubber binder that is to hold a smaller item which I’m guessing it’s for cash. I wish they would’ve made that side to hold cards as well. Then it would’ve been a 10 out of 10. But you’re limited with that left side because only the right side will hold cards. I’ve had this in my cart since October and it finally went down in price so I picked it up and I’m glad I did. If I would’ve known it as good as it is I would’ve paid full price for it back in October. Now they do have another colors so that’s probably why the black went on sale. I would go for it I really like it and like I said it sticks beautifully even with a case on my phone. A lot of people said it was too big and stuck too far out. I think since the camera sticks out on the iPhone 14 anyways this doesn’t make a difference. It’s no thicker than any battery pack. You would stick to the back of your phone. I think it’s just perfect. they hit it out of the park with this one. 2/27/23 update: Just wanted to let you all know that this wallet is still working strong. I have a few tiny scratches, but you have to look for them. Other than that I still love. The magnet works amazing on the back of my phone with the case. And just so you know, I do have a MagSafe case in case you were thinking, I just had a regular case on it, and I was using magnets in the phone. I found that it sticks very well to the phone without a case, but it swivels from side to side is a little bit without my case on. I think the case creates friction, and it doesn’t allow it to slide as easily on the back of a smooth phone. Like I’ve said in my first post, it will hold three cards and up to five bills folded properly to fit behind the binder opposite card side. With this amount inside, you can feel the pressure on the clip that secures it shut. With or without extra items inside does not affect how well it’s secures magnetically. I have still read people complaining that it’s too big and too fat to carry on the back of their phone. I completely disagree still and use it every day and I constantly get compliments on it and asking where I got it and what it is. The reason I say this is because as far as the cameras protrude on the back or the newer phones the wall it almost lines up evenly just enough to keep the camera from making contact with the counter when the phone is laid face up. I actually enjoy holding the phone more with the wallet on the back cause I get a better grip. I don’t think it makes any difference as far as weight is concerned of the phone. Just makes it easier for me to hold it makes the phone more ergonomic with it on. I still highly recommend the case. I did wait till it was on sale but if you really want one, I would just buy it it’s about seven dollars cheaper on sale. But like I said before if I would’ve known how much I enjoy it I would’ve paid full price for it instead of waiting for the sale. Good luck. I hope you enjoy it if you do decide to buy one. I just know that I have a good return policy. If you don’t like it I got 30 days to try it. Once you put it on your phone though you will know right away. Or try it out around the house and see if you like it and if you don’t return it. Well, I still love mine and highly recommend it and I am going to buy another color when I find them on sale again. but since I have one already, I’m just gonna wait. Good luck. Jim

Scratches easily but is sturdy. Only holds three cards, a fourth doesn't fit. Even less so if you have some coins.
