I really had my doubts after reading some of the reviews, but I tried it anyway. I love it! It has increased the speed with which I finish my diamond painting. The wax pencils are long, so you will get good use out of them. When I say easy to use - pick it up and use it! I added a padded holder over the pencil and it works like a charm.

There are times when those little gems refuse to get picked up with the traditional tool. These pickup pencils are wonderful! I love them. Just tap the tip on a gem and like magic the gem sticks to it. When tapped on your picture the gem comes off easily. A great product.

This product works well for diamond painting but there are a few things to keep in mind: You don't need to press down on these to get them to stick to the drills and if you are a hard presser then you'll dull the tip quickly and have to sharpen them more often. Also if they don't stick to the drills right away then just lightly blow warm air on the tip to make it sticky again. If you have a tendency to put off a lot of heat or if you're outside then make sure you keep extra pencils on hand because they will warm up quickly when used for extended periods of time. I bought a make up pencil sharpener for sharpening them because it doesn't seem to chew them up as quickly as a regular pencil sharpener would. You can also use a Prismacolor soft lead art pencil sharpener if you prefer because it's just as gentle on the pencil. If it's too skinny of a grip for you (they are very slim) you may be able to use a finger grip to make it a little thicker. Overall a very good alternative to the pen and wax dauber option. I will still use both because I have a feeling the old fashioned way will still be a better option in colder areas.

Mine where melted in mail box but it was middle of the summer in Texas. Does work well!

I got a tip from a review someone had done about using these for diamond painting and decided to give it a try. I would not say it is foolproof, but they are very helpful. Sometimes, depending on the brand of diamond project and wax I am using, I will put a little on top of some regular diamond wax, sometimes I just cram as much as I can into the diamond pen by itself. I have found the temperature can make a difference. If it is too warm, it melts and might not work as well. These pencils will last a lot longer though than diamond wax. I do try to use just the pencils by themselves, but you will need to sharpen them to a tight point, or they will be a little too wide to fit between 2 diamonds if needed, and the pencils are really long. I cannot speak for other uses as that is all I am using them for, but I plan to get them again.

Really good stickiness but you can't press down on the drill hard to "set" it or it slides out from under the pencil. The tip is pretty wide so it was hard to see the drill to place it correctly. Leaves a lot of residue on the drills. Pencil is very long so cannot be easily used with a lighted magnifier unless you break it in half. It took about 10 minutes before I gave up and went back to my standard drill pen. Wish these would have worked out better for me, loved the stickiness!

Great tool. I now have lifetime supply of wax pencils. Very easy to use, sharpens easily and length is not a problem. Very nice.

Product came all broken and wax was hard and not sticky.
