I was actually looking for those typical light green, crinkly, thin jalapenos like you get on an Olive Garden salad or with a Papa John's pizza. These look like fresh jalapenos, they are thick and full of flavor. I guess I would call them "home style." Totally different than what I was looking for, but pleasantly surprised. I am thoroughly enjoying them.

Really? Like this pepper brand softer than others.

Spiciness is a solid 4/10. The peppers are split and a bit mushy. Maybe in the brine too long? The carrots and onions are really good!

Family loves the flavor.

I’m a big fan of pickled whole jalapeños—so much so that I can easily tell different brands apart. I eat 3-5 La Costeña whole jalapeños every morning, and I can confidently say these are not that brand. These tasted exactly like San Marcos pickled jalapeños, which I find mushy, rancid, and bitter. Don’t buy these—just go to your local store instead. These are most likely cans that came from San Marcos factory that were mislabeled as La Costena.
