This is very similar to a model I got long ago called the DuoStim, which was removed from over the counter sales, probably due to the power levels. I am pleased to say that even though this model has lower voltage (50 as opposed to 80), it is still quite powerful, and retains a feature I found in one of the earlier units I had - the ability to use different circuits in close proximity without degrading the power applied. This model is also quite a bit less expensive. There is also a very similar model from iStim, but that is priced a bit higher than this. I have one of those and consider them pretty much identical, and equally as good. It is even mentioned in the instructions that one may use electrode sets in very close proximity or even crossing paths without problem. Just be aware that the channels will add together delivering more power to the treated area. I was worried about the life of the charge in the battery, but it lasts far longer under heavy use than I would have thought. I have had it last over a week of every day use (for an hour or more a day) before the battery needed recharging. I am very pleased with that. While it is outstanding for TENS use, it is also very capable for "off the book" estim uses, provided one exercises proper caution - again it is very powerful. It also adds some pre-programmed settings, such as a rise from 2-125hz, that I personally have found useful in this kind of application. You will have fun exploring the presets. I do not know how it will hold up over time, but the older model from a different vendor has lasted nearly a decade. I consider it the best TENS unit I have used so far, especially for those "other" uses. Highly recommended.

Once you get the pads in the right place, it's very effective. I've had an issue with the left side of my neck for at least thirty years from playing guitar and jumping around and hauling gear. The weight of the instrument combined with playing practically every day since 1977... My lower left neck is like a rock. I just used two pads in the recommended position for that area and experimented with the settings and after a couple hours, The rock had become soft so to speak, and I could actually push into the muscle which for so long was just so bound up in that spot just above where the guitar strap sits on your shoulder. Needless to say it was very tender and a bit sore after, but I noticed a significant improvement almost immediately. Another thing is this is not a toy. You can hurt yourself with this thing. I personally haven't yet, but the potential is there to give quite an uncomfortable shock I'm sure. So many units to choose from and the option anxiety started kicking in, I almost didn't order one. Plus you can spend hours shopping for one item because there's so much to look at, a half an hour at a time is all I can stand. I think this unit is a solid deal for the money so far. The basic presets and full control over power, pulse, frequency and even width which really gives you some juice.

This Med-Fit 906A Premier 4 Channel Rechargeable - TENS EMS Combo Muscle Stimulator is so helpful for pain management for my shoulder but more importantly helps my muscles to protect my shoulder and is helping to rebuild lost muscle mass for my shoulder and upper arm. The settings after I figured them out are easy to use (it keeps the last settings) but the settings ramp frequency etc. can't be set individually (except for intensity/voltage) and always reset to zero after finishing the program. I haven't fooled around with the programs but might someday. The manual settings work great for me. Battery life is very good (7 days usage so far without the need for recharging). The included gel pad electrodes work well but I have ordered more since I use this daily. I would strongly suggest this unit if you need EMS capability - but even for tens it is great with the ability to provide possible other uses later. I have ordered a 2nd unit to make sure I always have a working unit.

I have trigeminal neuralgia and this has helped so much with facial tightening in between dry needling. It is easy to use with its booklet of instructions and illustrations on lead placement on the body. Besides facial treatment, I have used it on my neck and shoulders to help relax my muscles and it doesn't disappoint! I have used this for years and have only need to charge it once or twice. Replacement leads are easy to obtain online when these wear out, but you are given a nice supply of them with this set. I would recommend, and have, to anyone in need of help with their muscle tightness.

This brand gets better than the first brand I bought...even cheaper. I loved this and would recommend it to my patients needing TENS or EMS machine at home.
