The biggest downside to Honees drops is they taste so good! These are the plain Jane honey flavored drops. The ingredients are natural ingredients. There are no artificial sweeteners, not preservatives, not dyes or artificial flavorings. Gluten might be a concern because some of the sugar is derived from wheat. These are great drops for enduring the sore throat from sinus drainage and you get the natural benefits of honey at the same time. The drops seem more effective than honey and lemon in hot tea.

these are fabulous. Really soothe the throat and stop a cough by natural means. I love these. Stopped my husband's incessant cough in a day. They are a bit hard to unwrap , have crinkley paper that sticks to them. But work well once unwrapped.. And taste so good, too.

These are so good! They have a little spice to them. Great for sore throats, coughing or just to suck and enjoy.

This review is for the squarish honey drops in the rectangular-shaped red pack. The same drops also come in a bag in slightly larger oval drops for under $6. Once i had tasted those, i bought this box of smaller wrapped drop packs that are a bigger supply and more convenient to carry. Apart from the perfect taste and sweetness with pleasant liquid honey center and the effectiveness for soothing throat irritation and cough, these drops have NO MENTHOL, which i would find too strong, and they are totally smooth, meaning they don't scrape the roof of my mouth. In addition, i used these drops for a while before i realized they are not 100% gluten free, but at a mere 20 parts per milluon of gluten they don't seem to awaken my gluten sensitivity one bit. I do not have celiac disease, only a sensitivity (which can be unpleasant enough), which is not as harmful to health as celiac, so that might make a difference to celiac sufferers (i would ask my doctor about the 20ppm of gluten in that case). The only down side to these drops is that they're so good that i could just keep eating one after the other, and that would amount to bathing my teeth in sugar. It would then be imperative to brush my teeth after using them, which could get annoying. But not annoying enough to stop.my eating them.

Great cough drops. Been buying these in stores for a while now but they recently were out of stock. Came to Amazon and found them at an ok price. Should be like $5 cheaper since buying the entire box but they are a great choice for cough drops! Fast cooling and taste is really good.

Expensive, but delicious

It’s my own fault. I tried and loved the plain honey drops, so I ordered a 12-pack of honey ginger. I love ginger. But I didn’t read the ingredients list! There’s lemon oil in these. They’re not just honey ginger. They’re honey lemon ginger. *Personal opinion having nothing to do with the quality of this product: I do not love honey lemon. It’s gross.* I am sorely disappointed in these because of this. If you like honey lemon and ginger, you’ll like these. However, I feel that the lemon is wholly unnecessary and it ruins the flavor for me. Now what do I do with the 11 unopened packages? These are great for soothing throats or just for candy. The regular honey drops are incredible.

From Barbara: Our local grocery store sells these in bags with 20 cough drops per bag but they are much more expensive than buying them here on Amazon. I was surprised to get the little cough drop packages. They will be easier to carry. They taste so absolutely wonderful and they work great for soothing a sore throat or keeping a singer’s voice going during a gig. I just got through playing and singing for a Renaissance Festival for two weekends in a row, nine hours each weekend and these absolutely saved my life. For part of the time, the weather was very cold and damp and I was afraid of losing my voice. These drops kept me from doing it. I will always keep the lemon ginger on hand. The stronger the ginger taste, the better I like it. Other reviewers say that it is difficult not to just eat these, and I agree. I have to be careful because I have to pace how often I have to buy a new box. In my original review, I miscounted the packages and suggested that they fix their description but I was the one that was wrong, not them. My bad. Anyway, buy these for sure.
