My granddaughter is 7 1/2 and lives in the very temperate climate of San Diego, near the ocean. She likes to wear dresses like these with leggings or stretchy shorts underneath (for modesty). These dresses fit the bill because they are the weight of light T shirts. I wouldn't say that they will last a long while, but since she is growing so fast, it won't matter. They are inexpensive enough to buy a few for variety.

My niece loves these dresses! They fit very well and they are cute patterns. She has worn both and she loves them so much.

The black dress has a more stiff, rough fabric that the other did not. They are cute and true to size. Hoping they will soften up over time.
