Seems to have solved my problem
I wasn't sure that my Montero's problem was the MAF sensor but all the indications pointed toward it being the most likely culprit. The 2003 Montero Limited does not have an idle control valve which most people immediately suspect for idling issues. The package arrived in two days (earlier than expected) and it took about 20 minutes to install. The truck started up perfectly and seems to have solved the idling/starting problem. I have only driven it about 50 miles since the installation but it appears to have been a relatively inexpensive fix for the issue.
