TLDR; Built safe and will do the job on camp, but a smidge under the specified length. The extension cable arrived in a clear bag with Xtremeauto branding. It appeared well made and on closer inspection I could see that the strands for each conductor (earth, neutral, live) were contained in a ferrule, before being tightly clamped by each screw in the terminal block. It was good to see that the earth connection actually had a slightly longer ferrule to match the increased depth of the earth terminal with its two screws for additional clamping (the neutral and live have just one terminal screw), so bonus points there. This cables' conductors are confirmed as stranded 1.5mm2, in blue, brown and green/yellow insulation within an overall orange protective sheath, but I wouldn't agree with the description as "heavy duty". Firstly, it's not Arctic-grade sheathing (though it is quite flexible so good for coiling away after use) and secondly does not contain the increased thickness of 2.5mm2 conductors (that reduce voltage drop over distance and increase robustness) that a cable expected to be "heavy duty" and spanning these lengths might be specified with. It's a good effort though, and reasonably priced at just under £40 when I bought it. It was easy to use the commando connectors, lifting the cover and mating it with an under-bonnet connector on the vehicle, there was a nice interface with just the right amount of resistance to fitting. The cable was correctly wired and reverse polarity was not detected. The length, when measured, even taking into account the ends of the blue & white commando connectors, came up 12cm short of 25 metres, which I think is a bit frugal. When it states 25m, as a minimum that should be the useable length of the cable, but on this example, even taking the length of both connectors into account it still came up short. You can however be sure of a reliable connection to campsite hook-up with this cable, just make sure you don't need the full cable length for your power.
