Nubian Heritage Coconut Papaya Body Wash, 13 oz

Adding these 2 quick tips to my review: 1. Give the bottle a good shake prior to each use as the natural ingredients separate when idle for a while. Shaking will help to give you the best scent, consistency, and overall cleansing experience. 2. The bottle will arrive with a white seal under the cap. The seal isn't attached using a super hard adhesive so it comes off easy and actually gets stuck to the bottom of the cap when you open it for the first time. Don't worry, just remove the seal and the product is ready to use :D Amazing product. Here's my honest review: - Scent: Amazing! From the moment you open the bottle and take the first sniff, to the actual experience of cleansing your body with it... It's just absolutely amazing. The scent is light but beautiful and lingers gently on your body for a couple of hours. - Does it dry my skin? No! My previous body wash was drying out my skin (it used saponified oils btw...Vermont Soap). After hours of research I decided to go with this, and I'm glad I did. No more dry skin :) - Don't worry about the "watery" consistency. It honestly doesn't matter. Just put a generous amount on your wet luffa and get to work. The lather on this is very nice. I used to use Shea Moisture's Coconut Daily Hydration body wash, but unfortunately they changed the formula and ruined the product to where it now dries your skin and has a horrible and strong perfumy scent. Whatever stock of the old formulation exists is now being sold by third party sellers and is ridiculously overpriced compared to the usual ~$10 for a 13 ounce bottle. I know Nubian Heritage and Shea Moisture are both owned by Unilever, but please, listen to the customers and don't change the product formula. Don't try to fix what works! Overall, do I recommend this to people with sensitive skin who enjoy a nice but gentle scent? Yes!

I first used this soap when I was visiting my parents. My mom has the best taste in soaps so I had to try it. The scent hit me immediately and I knew I was going to love it lol. The soap just feels nourishing, it left me feeling clean but not squeaky/dry clean. Its on the thicker side but I love that because a little goes a long way. I went home and bought my own bottle.lol I poured the soap into another bottle since I like using a pump when it comes to bodywash. Highly recommend.

I love it! The combination of Goats Milk and Chai is absolutely great! It lathers well and a little goes a long way. The smell is so good and last longer than other fragrant products. Not over powering. Soft and subtle. This is my go to body wash. I may try others from this line. Plan to purchase this one in bulk.

great scent but interesting consistency. it’s not thick or soapy at all, best used with a loofa or net. i do feel moisturized and clean, but i don’t use it every shower and prefer to use other body washes.

I have used this Goats Milk and Chai body wash (and also the body lotion) for almost 3 years. It was so wonderful! Then around November of 2016 it started to change, the scent was half what it was before. Then around Spring of this year (2017) it drastically changed when they started using the new dark label (not the soft pink one you see in this photo on this page). Originally the body wash smelled great and the scent stayed on your skin all day. The new one I bought last week, 8/17, was in the new labeled bottle and the body wash was actually watery and PINK! It had always been white before. So I used it in the shower and the new pink one smells awful! It's as if they forgot to add the scent and it's just the goats milk base or something like that. It is moisturizing for sure, but the smell is awful on my body all day today. I will not be using this new one again and I am sending it back after one use. Also, so you know, the body lotion has lost it's creamy thickness and the smell is barely there now. It's as if they watered it down and repackaged it in the new labeled bottle also. So, do not go by the the good reviews before Spring 2017 because they are no longer valid now that the products have completely changed at Nubian Heritage. If I could give this new body wash a no star rating I would.

The scent is so beautiful I apply it after my shower, it’s last for at least 3 months or more. You have to try it smells amazing.

I've become much more conscious of all the junk chemicals and parabens in most store products in the past couple of years. I'm using mineral make-ups, paraben free lotions, face wash, soaps, primers, etc. now. I've gone sulfate-free with my shampoo and handsoap. Doing this though is a journey in itself because I'm learning just because a company touts its products as chemical-free, organic, natural, etc, doesn't necessarily mean the product will be GOOD or what you want or need. The last brand of natural soap I bought which was a combo African Black Soap and Shea promised to be good for everything (skin and hair) and very moisturizing. It wasn't and it smelled weird. But I'm determined to not give up and just try yet another chemical-free natural product, even if I have to buy online instead of in a brick and mortar store. I've been using this Nubian Heritage Body Wash for a week or so and I have to give kudos to the company. It really is a great product. It doesn't have petroleum in it (go ahead and look at your ultra-moisturizing Olay bodywash. Petroleum is like the 2nd or 3rd ingredient.) to make you think your skin's well-moisturized. It only takes about a quarter to half-dollar size amount to get an amazing soft lather all over without it disappearing into the loofa and needing to reapply. It smells a bit like honey (and shea, of course), and it's a mild scent that doesn't cling or offend one's senses. My skin does feel softer after a shower, though as I'm in my 30s now, I still need extra moisturizer. I'd definitely recommend and will buy again, as long as the price stays around the $5-6 mark.
