Great for casual use.
I purchased the RyzeYn 3, 14" WUXGA. Has a touchscreen, solid camera, decent streaming video quality, easily setup as an android customer through Google account, syncs to phone seamlessly, has Chromecast, very responsive, this is a great bang for your buck laptop as an adult user. Takes about an hour to charge from dead to full with supplied charger. Charge lasts longer than expected. The hinge is 180°, which is nice when laying down. Will update review if any problems arise but for now, highly recommended.

Great Chromebook
Practically perfect in every way. Nice screen, nice keyboard, fairly snappy performance, runs Linux and Android apps okay, battery life is fine. It's nice to be able to have more than 5 tabs open at a time! The Ryzen 3 3250C CPU is a good balance of battery, $ and speed. It seems a bit more fragile than some of my previous Chromebooks, so the included padded case is a comfort and works great (though I might sew on a strap...?) It has been out for about 100 of my son's Taekwondo classes and 5 road trips and still going strong! I managed to catch this model on a great sale, so am even happier! My previous two Chromebooks were by Asus - Acer may have won me over more solidly (given the discount! ;-)

Only one problem
I love so many things about this Chromebook. The touch screen works great and the sound is wonderful! It feels well built and is light weight. It easily connects to my bluetooth headphones and to the internet. There's only one problem. It will randomly shut off and restart. That wouldn't be too bad but, when it restarts, it has forgotten everything I was doing. I have to try to remember what tabs I had open because they aren't even in the history. It hasn't happened while I was working on a document, but I'm concerned that all the work would be lost. This is a fine computer for watching movies and surfing the web but I'm not sure I'd recommend it for a student or for work. Maybe mine is the only one that has this problem because I haven't seen anyone else mention it.

Great little laptop
I waited a while to reveiw, and I have had this about a year now. Very impressed with it. I don't do a ton of things on this computer but I do use it mostly for work. I teacher prek and use canva quite a bit for editing. It runs smoothly and I usually have a few tabs open at once. I haven't played videos or music from this laptop, but I assume it would run great as well. The color and weight of this laptop is perfect and I really enjoy that you can turn it into a tablet by flipping the screen back. I also really enjoy the touch screen.

Great 2 in 1 Chromebook
Easy setup for a serious Chromebook experience. Pairs perfectly with my Google Pixel 9 Pro XL making cross-device computing a breeze. It's app based & Web based interface are very similar to any Android experience & while more expensive than most Chromebooks, it's capably running Linux (using the developer option during setup). The screen has great display, with very solid hinges for tablet mode use. No issues with heat dissipation & while the storage isn't huge, it's capable for most tasks- also easy to extend via the USB C ports. Fast charging, great battery life so far. Really enjoying this for daily use in place of my Windows 11 pc

The many Constraints of Life in this Age.
I bought this Chromebook at the beginning of the year. I have had a few in previous years and since i am not a rocket scientist, it and they, have always met my needs. Since Chrome sells Chromebooks with a built in oblosence by limiting the number of System Updates that are electronically applied to the machine. I took all of my other Chromebooks to the recycle dump in my City. I had previously soaked them in hot soapy water and then left them in the trunk of my car through the summer. They were now paperweights. I am loving my new Chromebook. It works well and allows me to link to other necessary tools for this day and age. The Chrome operating system is adequate for my needs and wants. The price of the unit was reasonable based on the knowledge that it has a 'drop dead' date - based on the operating system updates. I think this is reasonable to have this knowledge. I can work with that. I don't know that exact date, but I am sure Acer will let me now when Chrome has put out the last of the system updates on this version of the operating system. But, should I need to buy new hardware cause you updated the software. Which brings me to the chicken and the egg. Something else to ponder while time just ticks away.

UPDATE 8/20/2025
I'm not happy with this Chromebook! My first Chromebook was an HP and it worked perfectly until it no longer was able to receive updates. That's when I learned the limitations of Chromebooks. However, since I don't really need an expensive laptop I opted for an other Chromebook and saw great reviews for Acer. So I purchased this one. It's got so many bugs! I'm not happy. It started with the cursor jumping around as I was typing. Mid sentence it would suddenly not be where I'd been typing. I'd have to search for it. Usually it was a few lines further up in what I'd already typed and in the middle of words in a sentence. I thought I'd fixed that issue. Nope. Still happens. Then there's the spontaneous and inexplicable shutdowns. All of a sudden, it shuts itself down. No matter what I'm in the middle of doing. No one noticed that little quirk befor launching this thing? Are there any patches coming down the pike or am I stuck with this "little" inconvenience? And then there's the issue of just bugging out of the internet connection. Boom. Disconnected and won't reconnect. What is up with that? Nothing wrong with my internet. Phone still works. TV, yep. Cell phone gets me online. Acer? Internet? What internet? Bottom line I'm sorry as hell I bought this thing! What will the seller do about it? Or the manufacturer?

Chromebook is Laptop.
I thought I was ordering a laptop. Chromebook have their uses but NOT the same versatility as a laptop.

Runs great but was not as described. No HDMI port and sadly does not have a solid state drive. Chose this unit for that reason. Disappointed.

I have only had this laptop for two days, however I've been able to add many of the same programs I have on my desktop pc, and some I couldn't install. Hello Chinese is a Mandarin Chinese Learning program which is excellent, but only available in Android form. This is great, much better than trying to learn Chinese on a six inch screen which I've been doing for a year. Google Translate, Microsoft 360, Keepass Password Manager, NordVPN, many programs I use in Windows can be loaded in Chrome OS. Files, bookmarks, everything transferred quickly and easily. Integrates with an Android phone easily as well. Battery life is great, all day usage. I'm planning a trip to the South Pacific in the future, and this will be great for travel, education, entertainment, and sports, and research tool. Ordered during Spring Sale for $429.00, great buy.

There's nothing wrong with the product, but 8GB of RAM is not enough for general usage. Android system on Chrome OS takes a lot of RAM space and it prevents basic web pages from loading on Chrome. Disabling Android system on Chrome OS is possible to save RAM, but again there's no point of using a Chromebook without Android.
