If you scale your fish with a wire brush or horse comb, I highly recommend you spend the money on an electric scaler!! Holy moly this was a game changer this year as we processed more than a hundred red salmon, all of which get scaled! Each fish was scaled in less than a minute! The extra battery is nice too because it only lasts for about a dozen fish, so you can keep one on the charger while you’re working the other. Very hard to put the battery cap on , it wouldn’t line up right .
