Women always have to be aware of their urinary and vaginal health and sometimes two things can go wrong at the same time causing an issue that needs to be solved. I've had urinary tract issues for years now and have managed them but not completely eliminated them. Then suddenly I was having other issues too. This arrived the day after I ordered it and I tried it for the next two nights. After inserting the gel it did burn slightly but I went right to bed and when I woke up at 4 am it was much milder. Then I went back to bed and felt nothing the next day around 10 am. So I would say the slight burning sensation is not extreme and is very bearable especially since you sleep through most of it. On night two I repeated the instructions and went to bed again. Next day I was feeling so much better. Now today everything is fresh and clean! The only thing I noticed was the pear scent is fairly strong but it goes away by the third day. Wrapping up the applicator in a plastic bag and tossing it out in the trash is a good idea so the scent isn't in your bathroom garbage. I did leave the house the days after the nights I used this no problem. Mostly you can just catch a whiff of the pear scent when peeing. Otherwise it isn't too bad. Would I use this again? Definitely I'm going to get another box to keep on hand. It only took two nights to work and that is not much to worry about! I liked the fast, super effective gel and the healing results. I'm thinking my vaginal health issue was probably causing a reinfection of my bladder. That seems better now too and I took UT-Fem to clear out my bladder so maybe solving two problems at the same time. So don't fear the burn. It really isn't that bad and you'll be asleep most of the time! I am going to try other products by this company, especially the urinary flush! P.S. 2 - I also tried the one-day yeast infection gel and it does work well. You may have a bacterial and yeast problem but not know it until you've treated one and still have the other! This stuff is literally amazing!! I don’t like taking antibiotics as it kills all your good bacteria as well, blah blah. But this stuff? I had a pretty bad case after switching hygiene products as I am super sensitive. Just these two doses and all symptoms were gone within 2-3 days. Saved me a dr. visit and saved my gut health! I will say, the smell is SUPER strong and even after showering/bathing the smell will last a few days. Also to note, there is some mild burning after insertion but was very tolerable and didn’t last long, almost just like warmth. But totally worth it! Will be using again if ever needed.

Works in two days however the smell is a lot but after day two it goes away . . . I would put the cream in fridge for a few hours before using it takes away the burn feeling when inserting gel at night

Got rid of symptoms in one dose though I did both as directed. The smell of the ointment was a bit strong but did not linger after a shower. There was burning, the second day less so, but it only lasted about 15 minutes before subsiding completely. Great product and definitely recommend.

The best ointment I’ve ever used! Clears the symptoms in 2 days, amazing product and you get amazing results. It’s 99% effective and even though it burns when using it you know it is doing the work by clearing the bacteria.

After trying various probiotic solutions, this one finally worked and resolved my issue. While some reviews mention a strong odor, I believe they may not be familiar with ozonated oils. I use ozonated oil for various purposes, so the smell doesn’t bother me at all. It’s also very effective. It burns very little and for only a few seconds. I highly recommend it.

I didn't burn at all. I currently don't know if it has worked or not since day 2 was last night. I can't tell if the BV odor is gone due the potent unpleasant medicine smell. The smell woke me up last night. I typically get metrogel from my gynecologist, however, she was on vacation and Amazon was able to get this to me same day. I never have an odor when using metrogel it clears up the infection. I don't have any itchiness or anything right now....I just absolutely hate the smell of this product. I will be happy when it all comes out.

I wanted to wait a few weeks before responding because strong opinions have been written for and against. Never realized BV existed until I saw my gyn last month. Always thought I had UTI, but now I’m not so sure. Was given a really strong oral antibiotic which helped at first , but BV came back. That medicine wrecked my gut and won’t use again. When the BV came back, I was looking for something different. I got relief from fishy smell after the first night. Yes, I had burning, but it was tolerable. Better the second day. The smell of the gel was different, but not horrible. Definitely place while in bed and recommend putting a towel under you and long panty liner. The medicine is oily and some will leak out. I felt better after first day and way better after second. Been almost 2 weeks. Fingers crossed it doesn’t return.

Just completed both doses today so I’m not able to determine its efficacy. However, thought it would be helpful to share some opinions on the application. First, pantyliner is not enough, this thing is very oily and it leaks! I found out the hard way when it leaked through my panty to my shorts on the first night. Use a pad; I used two pads stacked forward and back to ensure ample coverage up and beyond my butt crack. Yes, it burns and my lady was on fire! Not for long though, the burning sensation subsided quickly after two minutes. Yes, the smell is strong. You can however get rid of the smell with some vaginal soap, it’s not that bad overall and the smell don’t exactly linger the next day when it’s all “flushed” out. Hope that it works.
