I really had my doubts before buying it, but after a lot of research thought this one might be worth a try. It turned out to be well worth it! Ten months later and I've been able to completely ditch expensive and unreliable landline, it's already more than paid for itself. Using several tablets, computers, and phones also a firestick, the internet is twice as fast as the old landline, with no buffering now - but it's the reliability that's even more impressive - this is a rural area and every time it was windy the old landline played up, or packed up! Lucky to have a reasonable mobile signal of course but I fully expected that I would need to buy the extra antenna - but it didn't need them, it worked straight out of box, and even the wireless printer went through it seamlessly. Very happy with purchase.

I was looking for an internet solution for my caravan and after a lot of research and deliberation I settled on this product. It is so easy to set up and it works a treat. I also bought a poynting Mimo 3 aerial to use with it but so far haven't needed it. Just the router on its own picks up a decent signal for all 5 of us to use a variety of devices with no lag. I have read that others have had theirs fail after a few months and poor customer service but for me I am very impressed so far. Very pleased and would recommend.

Easy to use. Pop a Data only SIM card in and turn it on. Search for the WIFI enter password and it's good to go. I'm using mine in a caravan on the coast so I'm on the limit of 4G coverage. The box picks up full mobile signal better than my phone does. Internet speeds on one device is as good as most homes. 2 devices and it starts to slow right down. I can online games and stream music to my phone at the same time. That said , it's only as good as your network and the coverage. It's way better than using your phone as a hotspot if you're not using home broadband.

This is the second device I got because I have returned the first one. After checking around the price and performant of this 4G router I decided to order it again. However, quickly I discovered the same problem as my first router. If I plug into the LAN4/WAN port the data sim will not work. the rest of the LAN ports are ok. So I avoided to use LAN4/WAN port and at the same time asked Huawei technical support. They only asked me to reset the router and of course it do not help. Then they even asked me to contact the sim company as said it is something to do with them! With my common sense, the LAN4/WAN could be used as a WAN port and or a LAN port. It must be a setting in the router to tell them I only use it as LAN but not WAN so the data sim would not affected. The Huawei technical support was stupid enough and or without any technical knowledge and now even asking me to send the device to them for repair! At that time I was consider to send back the device to Amazon once again! However, lucky enough I discovered there is a setting in the router to set all ports use a LAN only. Now I could use up all 4 ports and there is no further problem. The router is a good router and give me a high speed of internet via 4G. The customer service from Huawei, I have to say they are really bad and if keep on doing that may run out of business!

We got this as Virgin we're ripping off my parents and they needed internet. We brought a £25 unlimited data SIM on Amazon to go with it and set up was really easy. 2 months later and everything is working great. They have a few things connected to the WiFi and when me and the wife visit with our kids we all jump on the WiFi too with no problems. It's a great bit of kit and worth the money. I might even ditch sky and get one myself. They save a fortune.

I bought this with the idea of cutting my internet costs, using an unlimited sim deal. ( Three ) I have to say this for me works pretty well, like any modem I have found myself having to reboot it a couple of times already. one of those was more a loss of servie to be fair, I have the following wifi items connected, one amazon echo 2nd gen, two plug in blink cameras, one ring doorbell, my iphone, also have a ps4 and a laptop connected via Ethernet ( Hardwire ) handles everything very well. you get faster speeds for sure with Hardwire. ... You are able to access your sim card text messages, you have the option to forward them to another phone, you can get delivery reports as well if you put your number into the space provided as the delivery report would be forwarded if adding external aerials you have the option to have it set to internal /ext.ernal.. you can also change the password and the router id, i recommend you change the modem name and password, it is not hard to guess the password being admin when you clearly see the make of the modem. in the wifi list. and you are legally responsible for anything and anyone that connects to it. ( I speak for those in the uk only as I do not know the laws on this in other parts of the world ) I have tried to cover what i consider to be the basic points, nothing to technical here from me.. I am more a plug in and go person, if works for me. Thank you for taking time out to read my review. *Update.. after using this modem for a while and now as my only form of home internet, I wish to offer a little advice on how to boost your speeds, no1 on your network settings, change this from auto and select 4g only and save, no2,,, antenna.. select internal antenna if using internal and save. this for me has added around 30 meg download speed, I hope this helps in getting better speeds, please do remember, poor signal very much reduces the quality of speed for most. as for the included smarty sim card just to let you know. the company ( Smarty ) is owned by the three network.. after further research, it would seem you will not be able to use the phone connection for making and receiving calls ( UK )again many thanks for reading ..take care..
