Not my usual scent profile, but SO NICE
I was at my son’s soccer game, and I smelled something amazing. I thought it was my sunglasses (because I keep them in my purse with my travel size perfume, and assumed some scent had rubbed off.) But as time went on, I realized this wasn’t the usual, musky scent of my perfume. It lingered and lingered and was such a pleasant smell, I started looking around for who it could belong to. Eventually I realized it must be the woman next to me, and I asked her what she was wearing: she was kind enough to tell me. It arrived today, and I immediately sprayed myself with it. Normally after spraying a perfume, it dissipates within a few minutes. However, this one has LONGEVITY. It reminds me a bit of a J.Lo perfume I had in 2010- much more fruity than I normally go for, and I usually HATE grapefruit scent. But this is balanced just enough with an exotic, subtle musk. Like a fresh jasmine. Not SUPER warm, but also not too fresh, if that makes sense? It probably won’t be an every day scent for me, as I don’t feel it matches my personality, but it’s undeniably delicious and bold, without being obnoxious

Scent is devine
This is a great blind purchase! I was skeptical but will be looking at other scents now as well! Smells clean, fresh and slightly fruity. I don’t get the vanilla ever speaks of, but I am fine with this. Definitely a scent that can be worn everyday. I highly suggest this for yourself or as a gift.

Smells Fresh
When I first sprayed it, it reminded me of the Ralph Lauren Romance Rose Perfume but I will say once it dries down it smells fresh, definitely something different. Not disappointed so 5 stars it is!

Back In The Fragrance Game
I am an older woman whose fragrance hay-day was way back in the 80s and 90s. Back in the days before everyone became phobic about scents in the workplace and the artificial fixers many used began giving many people migraines. Back then I leaned toward Givenchy fragrances after my love for Shishido's Zen had faded. (I still have my bottles safely kept from those long-ago years!) Enter into my world Amarige and its flankers. To this day, I still love and get compliments when I spritz Amarige, what most now think of as my signature perfume. All this as background to my note preferences as I am an original hippie: I like woods, patchouli, and green mixed with intoxicating white florals way deep in the background. I'm not a sweet fragrance gal. And, when it comes to perfumes, you study and take time to know what works on your skin and personality and what doesn't. So, I admit when watching reviews how most now consider my preferences Old Lady Smelling, well it broke my heart! That cannot possibly true of all the fragrances now labeled: VINTAGE. So, I can only wonder if it's more about the individual's age and fragrance journey maturity? I'm so surprised, returning to the fragrance world by a few things: 1) The crazy prices! Not high prices as they used to be back in my days of purchasing, but absolutely stupid pricing! Why do we have so many perfumers pricing their goods out of the average person's ability to enjoy? For prestige? Ego? Exclusivity? Marketing Stupidity? Who knows, but on the plus side, has given rise to another perfume industry- Quality Dupe perfumers! 2) What's with everyone wishing to smell like FOOD?! Sure, some food smells are delicious and can add to a fragrance, things like brown sugar, cinnamon, etc, but I'm sorry, I just don't care to smell like cherry cola or cake! Along with that, the amount of SWEET in fragrances today? Way too headache producing and cloying to my noise. (I understand to each his or her own, but FOOD, really?) 3)The ridiculous number of fragrances that seem to dry down to powder, especially problematic if one doesn't wish to smell like a powderpuff! Powder smells old to me and fusty! 4) The incredible amount of perfumes released in any year is staggering! This leads to overspending, a chaos of choice, and to my mind, can impede one's fragrance journey which should be highly curated and exacting. If one does this, all those who truly know you, will smell a fragrance and say, "Oh, this really reminds me of (Fill in your name here,)!" You should be searching for the fragrance(s) that always leave Your Mark in the most delicious of ways. So, reviews have led me to the house of Lattafa for new fragrance to consider. If my Givenchy scents are now too vintage, I think I'll try a few of these because of their commitment to high end ingredients, good noses that blend them, and at a price that is more than reasonable. Mayar is absolutely a winner for me. Perhaps because it is considered a unisex fragrance, but still leaning feminine, it's absolutely what I want for our humid, high summer temps. It's that smell of clean which uplifts and lands with some flower, spice, and a lot of citrus for balance and freshness. This one is a big hit for this old girl! I hope this is one you will also enjoy. Good for daytime and casual evenings. When you need to feel the sea and fresh breezes it brings, put on Mayar and feel the joy of the ocean nearby. Thanks for listening to this Vintage Woman!

Elegant, Soft, and Surprisingly Long-Lasting
I bought this on a whim after hearing a few whispers about Lattafa perfumes—and I’m so glad I did. Mayar is absolutely beautiful. It opens with a sweet floral vibe—light, fresh, and feminine without being overly sugary. As it settles, there’s a subtle creaminess that feels smooth and warm on the skin. What really surprised me was how long it lasts. I applied it in the morning and could still catch soft whiffs of it late into the evening, especially on my clothes and scarf. It’s elegant but easy to wear every day, whether you're headed to brunch or just running errands and want to feel a little extra put together. I’ve tried both niche and designer scents, and this one easily competes—especially at this price point. It’s a lovely find for anyone who appreciates modern, soft florals that still feel elevated.

Its so so
I got both the blue and pink versions of mayar Update: after a few months of maturation the blue one is definitely a keeper, it smells more coconutty. Like a young fresh green coconut water with candied lime peel. Notes of passionfruit and fig. The fig is more pronounced now, albeit subtle. It definitely got a little sweeter and less sour smelling. The pink one is definitely more feminine and nice. Its less projecting and strong, not as intensely smelling as other eau de parfums by this brand. Smells kind of bubblegummy and fruity and pink? The raspberry note is more sweet than sour. The notes are subtle. The florals are herbaceous. Kind of smells like a fruit leather. Its not overwhelming which is good? It smells kind of like those arab nougats with the orange/apricot layer of fruit. And then I get more of the subtly sweet litchi and maybe even pear? And you can smell the flowers when it dries down a bit which I do like. I wouldnt describe it as bright but maybe... soft. And honestly kinda powdery in the dry down, but just about fruity enough to not be a powder. The blue one is weird, i feel it leans unisex. When I sprayed it for some reason I got coriander off the bat, then lime rind, and maybe passionfruit and guava? And super strong lime rind or citrus rind smell. And it doesnt really feel feminine. Its very sharp smelling. Was hoping it would be more fruity, coconuty and fig-y as fig was one of the notes. Was hoping this would be a nice aquatic, but its really not very aquatic, just ... lime and cilantro lol. Honestly cant really smell the water lily at all. Noticing a trend with arab perfumes that one note is really strong and overshadows the other notes. The pink ones strongest note is almost this fruity smell but not in a cloying way, its almost too subtle to really tell because I feel like this was blended nicely- not really getting very strong litchi but i do smell like a mix of herbs, flowers and some fruit. Like it has this fresh nasally herby smell that opens up ur nostrils, then theres the sweetness of the flowers, and then the musk and then you smell fruit (sweet fruit not sour) Didnt rlly like the blue one unfortunately

Great scent; bottle arrived slightly leaking
Scent is enjoyable! 4.5/5. Great for people who enjoy fruity floral perfumes. BUT I must deduct points because the bottle arrived with some issues. It seems like the edge between the rose gold top and the glass is no longer fully sealed, so if I tilt the bottom some of the juice seeps out from that crevice. Sad. I can’t tell if this was a manufacturing issue or a shipping issue. This was sold by a marketplace seller and fulfilled by Amazon.
