This product is very well designed so the flax seeds don't move around and the warmth is distributed evenly. A lovely lavender scent wafts when warmed.The only caveat is that it does not retain heat very long...5 minutes? I decided to give 5 stars since most people probably don't want to heat their face more than 5 minutes.

Love this item. Had major dental surgery and this came in handy. Smells ok. It’s also soft.

On the side of the mask it says to microwave for 60 seconds, then add 30 seconds at a time. I did 60 seconds, then an additional 30 seconds. It was hot but not too hot. Err on the side of less time, to prevent damage. Works great. I add a couple of drops of lavender onnthe back each time I use it.

Didn’t stay as warm as expected

It doesn't get real hot or cold, but I like that it covers almost all my face. I used it the other night and found it very relaxing. I will be using it a lot.

I place a dry cloth and then this over while it's chilled . Comfortable . Great value for price . Not much of a smell . Can use as heat as well .

Other reviews are accurate when they say at 1-1/2 minutes in the microwave, it doesn’t get warm enough. At 2 minutes it burned and melted a hole in both the cover and the padded inside piece. The contents turned hard, smelled burnt so I had to toss it. Bummer. Look elsewhere, this is kinda dangerous to use on the skin. Uneven heating and potential to burn you.

I love this rice pack from my face. It’s very comforting with the lavender smell and I have a cold Or sinus trouble it is very warm and soothing. I believe it helps to loosen congestion works well for me.
