Originally I just bought one bottle of the spray when a friend who'd just turned 40, who'd started balding rapidly, was sold minoxidil (albeit of a higher concentration of 10% instead of this ones 5%) after a consultation for a hair transplant at a harley street clinic. He was told to try it before having a transplant because it's known to work on around 50% of users. He's called me baldy for the full 12 years he's known me and my hair's been that way (2nd pic) since I was about 28 years old. While my first bottle started getting low I decided to let my hair grow a bit (been clippered to a no.1.5 since I was 15) in anticipation of improvement. Tbh I couldn't judge if it had improved or not because - A) I don't think I'd ever seen a picture of the top of my head before, and - B) my hair hadn't been that long since I was a kid. I'd been using minoxidil for 3 months and yet I was horrified by that second picture. Bottle ran out.... Second purchase was a multi-pack of the tablets, shampoo, and the same spray, all of the same brand, I'd already been using (much cheaper buying in bulk it seems) Aside from the dosage I never read the info for the accompanying tablets so I don't know if *may cause excruciating, perisitant headaches after climax* appears as one of the listed side effects. If it doesn't, it most definitely should, because for me at least they most definitely did. I wasn't ready to accept they were the cause of the headaches. But the headaches, of the sort I'd never ever suffered before, stopped immediately after I stopped taking the tablets. However... (and stick with me here!) I've now been using the spray for 10 months and the shampoo for the last 7. I'm not as militant with it as to how the instructions instruct. I often miss one of the 2 daily sprays and also often miss whole days entirely (I'm a social animal) And I use it even while exposed to sun, like 40 degree sun (not an endorsement) I'm supposed to massage the shampoo into my head for 90 secs but my impatience never sees me past about 20 of those. But I stuck with it and today somebody I'd not seen for a while made a comment. She asked if I'd had a transplant, which got me curious. Having this unfamiliar hair routine; massaging in shampoo, daily sprays, going to the barbers for a fade, instead of just doing the allover 1.5mm all by myself while self consciously bent at the waist to a 90 degree angle over a dry bathtub. This unfamiliar hair routine has now become just that, a routine. I don't think about it in the way you don't think about how you wash your face or brush your teeth. It's all just part of every morning and night. I think this is a big contributor into why I stuck with it. I gotta find structure somewhere (as I said, I'm a social animal) 🙄 My point is, I'm surprised this worked for me. I'd never believed in hair growth stuff before, if asked I would always snort and say "if hairloss products worked there'd be no bald men" And doesn't seem to be working for my friend who got the stronger stuff from a dude in Harley street, and maybe in the near future it'll be me calling him baldie. ... And maybe now I've just jinxed it by enjoying potential schadenfreude towards my best friend. Who knows? So to the point of all this? The moral of the elaborate story? Well, it's a different story depending on which side of the estimated 50/50 percent of people who exhibit results from the use of this product. I fall into the 50% who see improvements. In fact is of you look at the two pictures you'll see I now fall into the category of someone who has hair. Which is the same category who call other people baldy. Isn't life wierd. N.B. I'm not one whose prone to smugness, but give a bald guy hair and your gonna hear smugness.

I only got this a few days ago so too early for results, i find the shampoo smell pleasent and the monoxodil is fine to apply and is almost odorless, though i'm still hesitent if it's going to last a month with 20 sprays a day, but we shall see My Issue and why i gave it 3 stars is that the Biotin Suppliments are full of filler including magnesium sterate, it also doesnt specify if it's vegetarian friendly, i'm normally very maticulous about checking such things but i forgot with this, i'd highly reccomend getting just the shampoo and monoxidil and getting biotin suppliments elsewhere. Follow-up: had to stop using it as the shampoo was drying up my scalp and causing it to flake badly, shampoo also turns out to have a lot of bad stuff in it such as alcohol, so I like my previous statement, avoid, I would avoid this brand in future and just get pure monoxodil.

There are basic instructions but what is the point of saying apply 1ml twice a day if there is no way provided to measure that amount out. You get a spray cap but thats no help without something as simple as saying x numbers of spray average at 1ml...for something it warns you against using more than 2ml a day this lack of measuring guide is a major safety hazard. The shampoo at least is nice smelling and leave hair soft...but it is expensive.
