Got it and sprayed the moss. I sprayed a lot on since I don't have a ton of moss. Went outside this morning and the moss is BLACK! Yep. I will spray it all a few more times over the next week but this stuff actually worked.

It kills the moss.... But you got to keep on it or the moss will return.

The hose spray did not work at all. I had plenty of water pressure and it would NOT extract the material from the bottle. Ended up diluting and applying another way. The very next day the moss was DEAD. It was effective to get rid of something I had been working on for some time.

Its a shame that last year I bought the same product and threw the bottle away after its first use. I ordered the one gallon size last year, but never applied it. This year, after speaking to the manufacturer, the ingredients are the same in a qt. or gallon, so I had to buy another qt., just for the applicator. It works quickly and you can watch the moss turn black almost right away. Love this product. I purchased another 1 gallon size at H.D. for $17. and change, so you are really paying for the applicator in the qt. size. Save the bottle!!!

Didn’t seem to work. Maybe I didn’t apply enough.

My lawn has had severe moss overgrowth in the backyard since I purchased my house in May 2015, so I gave Lilly Miller Moss Out Ready to Spray a try. The bottle leaked a bit by the time I received it, but a heavy plastic wrapper contained the mess. This product does start killing moss while you are using it, and it turns blackest in the areas where moss is densest (Pic 1). It only killed the moss and left other vegetation intact. I waited 5 days after application before removing the dead moss, but a shorter wait would have been okay. Although a rake worked for small patches, I had to get down on my hands and knees and rip out thick sheets of moss closest to my house. I did this wearing garden gloves and a mask so dry moss particles wouldn't blow in my face. Pic 2 shows bare soil after the moss was ripped out, with Jonathan Green Heavy Traffic Grass Seed sprinkled over it. The entire session of pulling and raking dead moss, distributing seed and raking again, watering the seed and cleaning up took 4 hours. This first treatment did an excellent job on the toughest area of my lawn. After the next time I mow grass, I may use a second bottle of Moss Out to finish the job.

This items is suppose to kill 500 sq. ft of Moss on the lawn. The nozzle attaches to the hose and it's suppose to mix the solution inside the bottle with the hose water and kill the moss within hours. That's not what happened. The solution didn't mix, and all the solution came out at once, and within a minute after it hit the ground the moss in a 6 ft. by 6 ft (36 ft. square area) turned black and was dead. No more solution came out of the container, half the container of liquid would not come out and it just sprayed water in the next areas sprayed. When I checked a few days later, I saw that no more moss was dead other than the 36 sq. ft. I had ordered 2 bottles. So, I used the other container and it killed more moss than the first bottle, perhaps 100 sq. ft. But considering that I bought 2 bottles, it wasn't worth the work or trouble, because it didn't do the job right.

Very easy to use because you just hook it up to your garden hose. Liquid works much better than spreading crystals. Moss Out works pretty good but my experience is you have to do at least 2 applications to kill all the moss. To get the best results clearing moss from your yard with less applications, you need to physically remove some of the moss first - like with a rake - or scrape some off. You need to be careful that you don't run out of the moss out liquid while applying it - then you end up just watering your lawn. I did that a couple times and it was frustrating that the moss didn't die at all because the sprayer ran out of liquid and it was coming out all water. The tube inside the sprayer goes straight down - so if you're like me and tilt the sprayer down when spraying, it is best if you never get low on liquid in the sprayer. It's cheaper to buy the 1 gallon container for refills. I would recommend this product.
