After almost four years of constant use…
…one of the wheels finally wore out. No problem. I figure I use it more than the average person, and having used it many times on the rough streets of Japan and SE Asia, I chalked it up as wear and tear. I love the set (I have the medium sized luggage as well) and figure I can just replace the caster and keep on truckin’. I contacted Victorinox support about buying replacement casters, and they just sent me replacements for no charge within a week.Aside from looking looking sleek and being durable, their service is awesome too which prompted me to finally leave this review :)

Sleek, maneuverable and lightweight
The suitcase is very sleek looking. The wheels move 360 degrees and are very maneuverable. The recessed wheels and handle should be perfect for flying on airlines with stingy carryon guidelines, but I haven’t tried it yet. The inside is spacious with a generous X strap that keeps your clothes secure and folded to prevent wrinkling in transit. The hard sides are both rigid and lightweight. The sturdy shell will be able to take the abuse of being knocked, thrown and dropped. I feel like the USB port is gratuitous, but a lot of people like it. I do like the zipper locks that keep the bag closed and zipped with TSA approved locks. Overall this is a great, albeit pricey suitcase.

Gorgeous, Sleek, and Highly Functional Bag
This is a beautiful carry on, hardside bag. The black is very sleek and is well-constructed. The quality is stamped all over with innovative pockets and packing system to an integrated USB port. I travel frequently and it is so nice to have a specifically designed pocket for your battery that feeds into the USB system. There is even a small slide pocket for your Swiss Army knife! I also love the smooth glide of the zippers and the integrated lock system. Now here's where I have only one issue with Victorinox... Don't lock the locking instructions inside the case! It took me several attempts to figure out how to unlock the zippers. (Their website is no help since this is a new system.) Make sure the numbers are at 000 and push down on the top part of the TSA key lock to pop the zippers free. I'm sure most could figure it out, but maybe there is someone else like me who won't "get" it initially! Once I was able to set my own combination, everything has gone very smoothly!

Great, smooth-rolling
This is a really comfortable bag to travel with. The exterior is a soft, flexible plastic (don't expect a rigid hardshell) but not so soft as to give any concern over durability. The charging extension is a nice feature; I have a battery that I can put inside the bag, and so it becomes very convenient to charge your phone off of the jack on the outside of the bag.Without question, the highlight is the double-four wheel system though. It rolls really, really well. Either direction. Long-wise or flat-wise. And straight-up. This is just so helpful when traveling and finding yourself in tight, cramped quarters--which seems to happen all the time.

I love the fact that the zippers cradle into the locking ...
Incredible quality, hard-shell carry-on suitcase made with Swiss quality. I love the fact that the zippers cradle into the locking mechanism and the caster wheels are as smooth as butter!! I used to have a fabric carry-on but like the fact that a hard-shell is going to better keep my travel items in a safer state when moving. The handle for transporting this luggage is as smooth as the wheels and the shiny color is impeccable.***** HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Nice, but probably paying more for the brand name.
I have a Swiss Army branded pocket knife, which I like, and my friend has a Swiss Army branded backpack, which she really likes. With high expectations, I have to say that, while this is a real nice, compact travel case, I don’t see anything in its design that would justify a price tag many times more than similar off-brand units. I am comparing this to my usage of a much cheaper cloth bag I’ve been using for over a decade. It looks very nice, though I can imagine it won’t stay as sharp looking after dozens of trips through airport luggage and cargo holds. The four multi-directional wheels on the bottom are very nice for sliding it around when going through ticket counter lines. This is the the first luggage case I’ve had with wheels like that, and I do see they are nicer than the one-direction ones I am used to.The “hard shell” is rigid, but has some give to it. It is not a “flight case” and there is no padding inside, but it should protect a bit more when heavy items are placed on top of it.Inside are a few straps for holding things down, and lots of zippers. Most of the zippers are just internal ones that hold in the liner and serve no purpose to the end-user. There is also a flap on the front that exposes a USB port, and inside is a zipper compartment where you could place one of those USB power banks and hook it to that plug. This would give you easy access to charging while in the airport. Battery pack not included. Interesting feature, I guess, for the minor amount of time one spends with their bag between car and ticket counter. There was also a writing pen (tiny slim pin-shaped one!) here, which is a quirky accessory but could come in handy if you need to write out a luggage ID tag at the airport and they are out of pens... I guess?I have only taken two trips, and checked luggage both times, so I don’t know if this bag would be allowed as a carry-on these days (ten years ago they allowed much larger to be brought on).Overall, it’s a nice case, but I have more useful storage on my cheap soft case (zipper compartments on the outside).I think you are really paying for the name and the looks. It’s not tough enough (feeling) to be the end-all at protecting cargo inside, and it lacks useful storage (just a big compartment and some zippers and straps).Meh.

A Winner
This is a great piece of luggage. It is lightweight but sturdy. Good pockets. 360 degree wheels. Perfect for short trips where you don't want to check bag.
