Firstly, other reviewers have mentioned that this gel leaves a white film when dried. I think that's probably because it's thickened with some sort of cellulose, and I did find that if thickly applied it does leave a slight skin after it's dried that can be peeled off rather like when your skin peels after sunburn. That didn't bother me: it's not visible (or not on me and I'm fair-skinned caucasion) and it washes off in the shower. It's really good for reducing inflammation. I've used MSM for inflamation for years, and bought this gel specifically for use on some really nasty mosquito and horsefly bites. Worked brilliantly: stopped the itching, reduced the swelling and redness, and seemed to speed healing. Just a word of caution: if you add extra MSM crystals to it, it's easy to add too much and end up with an over-saturated solution so that large MSM crystals start growing. Nothing dangerous in that, but adding a little sterile water will reduce the MSM concentration and get rid of the crystals. Effective, pleasant to use and good value!

I read about how well this optimsm worked for skin and hair so I had to try it. . I just ordered 2 more bottles so I don't run out. It makes my skin soft and lightens marks on my skin left by 2 bouts with covid. The most surprising though is my hair. I lost most of it years ago and now I get it shaved. Believe me it looks better than that little bit of hair growing everywhere but the direction it's supposed to. You know that finger in the socket hair. I rub the msm gel on my dry head and after a few times people started commenting on the growth. I can feel it! I can't wait to see what happens. The price is reasonable too.

I tried using this MSM gel on my facial skin to soothe irritation and redness from rosacea. It didn’t make any difference. I’m sure it might be good for other purposes.
