Good!!!
I used it and I liked it! It acts as a tint, it is not a dye... but it leaves the hair very well, I advise using gloves because it stains your hands! And I have a lot of gray hair and I liked the result

Conditioning and maintaining your hair color with every wash has never been easier.
I had some doubts about this color-depositing conditioner, but after the first application, I could see that it really works. A year ago, I stopped dyeing my hair because it was damaging it too much; but the ends still looked oxidized and yellowish from overuse of dyes. With this product, I've been able to even out my hair color. My roots enhanced their natural color and became shinier and silkier, and my ends almost reached my natural color, resulting in hair with a uniform color. I love that this product is vegan; it's free of parabens, sulfates, and harsh ingredients. It also contains katiré butter, coconut oil, and avocado oil to nourish and leave hair soft and shiny. This conditioner also comes in multiple colors to suit any style and need. I really loved this product and I recommend it 100%.

Great for recommendation for men
This color depositing conditioner has been a great addition to my routine. I mainly use it in between hair dyeing, and it works especially well for maintaining color without having to fully re-dye. I use a dye shampoo first, and then about once every two weeks—sometimes twice—I use this to refresh the color. It holds up very well and keeps the color looking even and consistent. The conditioning aspect is solid. It leaves hair feeling hydrated and soft, not dry or damaged, which is important with any color product. The coverage is thorough, blends well, and doesn’t look patchy or unnatural. The color stays in nicely between washes and fades evenly rather than washing out in spots. The scent is also manageable—not overpowering or unpleasant. I appreciate that it’s damage-free, vegan, and cruelty-free, which is a plus. Overall, this is a great option if you want to maintain color between dyes, reduce how often you use harsher products, and keep your hair healthy. I’d definitely recommend it, especially for men looking for an easy, low-maintenance way to keep their hair color fresh.

They changed the formula and now it’s terrible!!
I’ve been using Overtone for years. I had my hair blue for a long time and used the Extreme Teal color continually. Yes it would stain your hands and tub, but it washed out eventually and didn’t really bother me. It would leave my hair a little dry, but I just used a separate conditioner and didn’t really mind. I’ve never been a huge fan of mint but the scent wasn’t that bad and I got used it to. I used to order directly off of the original site until I recently found it cheaper and easier to order on Amazon. Currently I have dyed my hair a purple burgundy color and have been mixing Scarlet Red and Royal Plum. Everything had been going fine as I would expect from Overtone, and I would have left 4-5 stars. Until my most recent purchase. Instead of receiving 8oz cylindrical bottles, I received 4.5oz smaller squeeze tubes. At first I thought it might be easier to get it out and that might be nice. Until I used the new bottle. The consistency was different, the smell was different, and it BURNED MY SCALP!! I have NEVER had this happen with Overtone before! I didn’t even notice much of a color change after I finished thoroughly rinsing the burning sensation off of my head! It seems like they have diluted it, added more mint, ruined the formula, put it in a smaller tube and charge more per ounce for what was once a good product but is now unusable! I will NOT be buying this anymore!!

Vibrant color
I have bought this in 2 colors. One being the Royal Plum and the other Indigo Iris. Both are very vibrant colors. I will preface that I do get my hair highlighted, so when I'm applying this color, I'm looking for it to stick to the highlights which help it to really pop. The more saturated you go and the longer you leave it on, the deeper the color you will get. Now, the purple, I have gotten it on my body and shower and it cleans off really well. The Blue... You gonna be a Smurf. So be aware, it does stain your skin, so maybe wear gloves. Use some micellar water or rubbing alcohol to help get it off your skin if needed. It does get on the shower and stain .. but again, use some alcohol. This conditioner does have an alcohol base to it, so use alcohol to help remove jt

Didn’t deposit color
A decent conditioner, but pastel purple does not deposit enough color. My hair is faded from a lavender color for context. It just made it more blue-gray. Kind of a waste of $18 if you ask me but my hair does feel good. I’m sure there are better depositing products out there but this would be fine to tone yellow hair.

What a mess
This is like putting Manic Panic hair dye on while in the shower... it's VERY pigmented, goes everywhere with the water and stains everything (tub, shower tile, hands, neck, arms... anywhere blue water touches in the process). I have used other Overtone daily conditioners and had no issues in the past with staining. It also used to be more conditioning. The only plus I can say is that it doesn't smell too strongly (has a mild peppermint scent). I would use it more often if not for the staining factor. Even if you wear gloves, it's just not worth the mess. I'd rather apply more hair dye to dry hair while looking at the mirror than use this regularly.

Great for temporary color, easy to use.
Works great! I bought this in three colors - my daughter has dark brown hair and has a bleached blond streak, so we can now mix and match the colors. My bestie is a stylist and told me to buy this type of temporary conditioner and keep it on much longer than recommended— sure enough, about 30-40 min works best. I’d say it lasts well for 3-4 washes, but don’t mind when it fades… so I update it once every month or so. Her hair is so dark that I can have dark hair in the dying section and it doesn’t make much difference. So, I use aluminum foil under the section, squish on color, rub it in with gloves on (just cuz I don’t want a mess) - pinch the foil closed (I fold it up close to her head) and let her play for half hour or so. Rinse with clear water and you’re good to go!
