fits VW jetta perfectly!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:this part is exactly what I needed to house my new GPS console in my VW jetta. it fits perfectly and is flush with the rest of the front area.

Works as expected in my 2015 VW Beetle
I'm overall satisfied with everything I received and how it fit into my 2015 Beetle. I'm not sure if it's the AVH-X390BS or the mounting panel but I was expecting the radio to be flush but it sits a little recessed. The radio is slightly larger than the hole in the mounting panel. I could've modified it but I decided It was fine the way it was.The VW03B Speaker Connector fit as expected to the wiring harness. The antenna wire is a single and not a double input hookup and it works fine. If I'm not satisfied with the single I may go back and get a double input, apparently antenna is embedded in the window and splits it into two inputs.Overall good product and it meets my needs. Everything is included as pictured. I'm going to chalk it up to the radio and not the mounting panel for the fit.

Complete kit plus wiring diagram = Awesome!
The kit comes with everything you need for a great installation. Including butt connectors, wire ties, an easy to wire harness, and wiring diagram for my car. An amazing deal for $30 - my stereo installation was a breeze and looks great.

Good price for what you get
Single din radio didn’t fit properly. Had to file for the radio to get it to fit . Fit in the dash nice after modifications

For non amplified applications
2007 volkswagen rabbit without steering controls or factory amp. Worked perfect. Using a pioneer avh-x3600bhs hooked up as it should. Because it doesn't have controllers you have to run a wire to the fuse box for switched power. Otherwise it will stay on all the time. Volkswagen radios run off a can-bus system.

It's perfect!
I ordered this as I was installing a Pioneer AppRadio 4 in my 2010 VW Jetta. The quality of the materials is excellent. The finish matches the trim around it perfectly. All of the mounting points are in the right places. Just a solid piece of equipment. It looks like it came that way from the factory. The radio fit is snug and looks really good. I was going to get this from Crutchfield, but it was cheaper on Amazon. I am quite pleased with this product and would recommend this to anyone else looking to upgrade the head unit in their VW.

Not bad. Not great either.
My pioneer AVH-X390BS fit OK in the opening. But, it was recessed in the hole about an eighth of an inch. Luckily, I was able to use a mill to remove the excess material from the opening and make the head unit sit as flush as possible with the dashboard. It may not effect other head units in the same way. But, if your unit is rear mounting, rather than the old slide in sleeve type, it will be slightly recessed. The powered antenna adapter works very well. I was worried about bad reception with the aftermarket radio. But, with this adapter, the reception is just as good as my factory radio. The wiring harness is the most basic you can get. Which is all that I needed. I used the switched 12v from the cars 12v outlet as the accessory connection. If you're looking for plug and play accessory power, canbus communication, or steering wheel controls, you'll need to get an interface adapter, like Axxess.
