Compatible battery for Nikon D5300. Good value when compared to OEM batteries. Time will tell whether long term performance equates.

Cheap and cheerful. I only use my D5300 infrequently at car shows, but often the original battery died half way though so this was a nice cheaper backup battery rather than a Nikon branded one.

Using this with a Nikon D3100 with early software v 1.01 1.01 1.002 and it works just fine. I believe there can be an issue with later software versions. I also have two genuine Nikon batteries which still give good service and this battery seems to provide a similar level of use. I can still use the original charger for it and having charged it two or three times now, still seems ok. Time will tell!

The battery charges fully after around 3 hours roughly. It's not a bad price for the item either so it's pretty good value to me. My previous battery is the exact same one and has worked for years and I cant fault it it really works well and very easy to use too. The battery life seems to last a while also, lasts around a full day of use (wedding from 11ish to around 6pm). Highly recommend and recommend taking battery out when not using it in your camera, it will still drain the battery and charge it with the battery charger suitable for it.
