I have a problem with D3 deficiency, but had been unable to take D supplements because they cause me nausia. I had taken cod liver oil capsules in the past without issue, though I have heard they may not be as effective as good old fashioned liquid CLO. As someone who is sensitive to fishy tasting things, I was a bit hesitant to try liquid CLO. But with my most recent lab work revealing my D3 to be very low, I decided to give this stuff a try. I ordered the green apple flavor, and have been taking 1 teaspoon every night right after I finish eating dinner. To be perfectly honest here, I do notice a slight fishy taste to it, especially the first time I took it. However, it's really not bad at all, it doesn't have much of a taste in general. The green apple flavor is extremely light, I imagine this is to avoid masking any signs of rancidity should the oil start to go bad. The very slight fishy taste is mostly an aftertaste, and it fades quickly. One swig or bite of something will eliminate it if you find it unpleasant. I find that I really don't even notice it now that I've been taking it for about 3 weeks or so. My mom says she doesn't notice a fishy taste, so it depends on your individual taste buds I guess. All in all, I am pleasantly surprised how easy this stuff is to take. My only complaint is that it is a little pricey, but worth it for the health benefits. I recommend this CLO, give it a try.

I have eaten fish my entire life, but never had any fish oil. I'm glad I added this to my daily intake. After a night without any sleep, I thought okay, I could use some vitamin D. With the winter season and being busy with work, I needed vitamin D, which is not only great for sleeping, but also crucial to your body's internal organs. And the Carlson - Cod Liver Oil (Apple) flavor was a win. The bottle is rather small, but the thing works. The first day of taking it, I did not feel any major changes, but the second day, wow. Right after dinner, I could feel the sleep coming on, no more watching the time during those long sleepless nights, instead I found myself easily falling asleep and waking up feeling great. As for the taste, there is nothing foul or unpleasant. To me, it tastes great (Just like an oil). You don't really taste any apples in the oil. Although it is an apple flavor, but you can definitely smell the apple. The cod liver oil is even less potent than an olive oil. All in all, this is a must have for me.
