The little 8 inch Rockville passive speakers are great! I love the fact that they have a compression horn in them, Instead of a piezo tweeter. The Piezo tweeter, sounds so shrill and not clear! In addition, they sound great for their size too. The 8 inch woofer has a decent amount of bass and they make an excellent addition to a sub. They are awesome that way, for karaoke, an outdoor party, a small DJ setup, or for a solo or duo group. The price of $125 for the pair, is a no Brainer. If you need something a little larger, try the ten inch pair for a little more oomph, you won't be sorry. Remember, these speakers are 100 watts RMS and 200 watts program (continuous), 400 watts peak power each, so you can put 400 watts into the 2 speakers combined comfortably. So be careful with your power amp or powered mixer and enjoy them

I like the quality of these speakers.

I’ve been in church my entire life (50yrs), all the churches I’ve been to have had ok sound with their equipment and put out the cash to do it. I purchased these solely because I thought if they didn’t do a good job there is a return policy or I could put them in my living room or in the shed. Let me say, I have now purchased three (3) sets of these speakers, one for our fellowship hall, one for our sanctuary and another set for another church in our state. It is crazy how good the sound is, how in expensive the speakers are and the ability to handle the power we put through them. (We are a Pentecostal church, which means, we do not worship like rocks) I am about to purchase two more sets to give to miniatures as they come along needing them. Also, they have standard size mounting holes built in. Obviously I believe in them...

I am creating an arcade and a weight room in my garage. I have been in the audio industry for over 40 years. A big secret is to skip home audio and always go to Pro PA gear. These speakers are made to be used in a park setting or a large venue. So when you use them like I am...they are so incredible, you will be blown away. That is why I just went with the 8". I am using a Sony receiver for these. These speakers are so loud and clear...I am blown away. NEVER use home speakers. Always go pro audio...DJ...PA gear if you want loud and clear. I am so happy. I can point these outside my garage and wake up the entire neighborhood if needed. LOL. You will have to order "SPEAKON" connectors. And you will have to make the cables...super easy if you are hooking this tto a receiver like I did. Hope this helps somebody.

These are a great deal, they sound great, light weight, look good, functional BUT they have speak on connectors. I HATE SPEAKON CONNECTORS!!! I’ll give them 5 stars when they put 1/4 inch connectors on them.

Performs well, but, standard speaker stand hole on the bottom WAS NOT to standard size. I had to bore out both speakers and enlarge to fit.

I thought they would have deeper base than they do but they do sound good.

Poor quality. I bought two of them and there are differences between them. They sound different on tweeter. I’m using a Rockville powered mixer. I switched them between L and R and the result is the same. One of them has low frequency on the tweeter. Also the bass is very bad. Poor quality. For the price it’s ok....
