Very well made and finished blanks

I was extremely happy with the product. Easy material to work with took to the quenching and tempering beautifully. Will be ordering more of this product in the future.

The steel still hardened up nicely during heat treat but did not produce a hamon like other 1095 I have used. I actually had to order more from a different vendor to complete my commission for a client and that steel produced a beautiful hamon using the same technique. I’d like to send this out to have it identified to see if it’s really 1095.

product was new and was well packaged

Some sections of this steel I was easily able to cut with my band saw. Other areas, the blade wouldn't even scratch it. Even with a new blade. If you're making knives with it, you should already be equipped to get the steel into a soft state.
