I have just ordered this kit. Will this improve my milk supply at week 5 or is it late?

Pumping every 2 hours for 15-30 minutes or for five minutes past when your milk stops flowing is good for your supply . If you can do this 24/7 awesome! But doing what is less stressful for you and baby is best! Also, you can choose a convenient one hour block of time for a period of three to five days (consecutively) that you have free time to dedicate to what is called “cluster pumping” . During a “cluster pump” you mimic your baby’s cluster feeding to increase supply naturally. This stimulation tactic will naturally increase your supply in about a week. You pump for 20 minutes, rest for 10 minutes. Pump for 10 minutes, rest for 10 minutes and finally, pump for the last 10 minutes. There are lots of interval times you find online and use as well. This is the one that works for me. I have used this technique to increase my supply in early months as well as an effective way replenish/re-establish a diminishing supply. The key is consistency and not giving up! You got this! Stay hydrated and stay relaxed ! And always remember , You can always supplement if needed, the important thing is that your baby is well fed! Breastmilk is the best milk but there is no shame in needing a little help or doing what is best for you and your baby! (Disclaimer: I am not a medical professional or a lactation consultant just a mother who is exclusively pumping for her second time :). )

Does it operate on rechargeable battery?

The answer is YES for the model I used. But when I used it at home/office, I would have it plugged into the wall socket, and I would leave it plugged in even when I wasn't using it. When travelling (e.g. in a plane), without plugging it, I could easily do 2 pump sessions of 15 minutes each. The instruction says without plugging it in, the pump should work for about 60 minutes.

Is this dual voltage? On the bottom of the pump, does it have a value of "100-240" for "V~" and "50/60" for "Hz"?

The machine I used back in 2010 and 2011 did switch voltage automatically. You just need to bring a few adaptor plugs for the diffent outlets on the wall in each country. Also if you charge the machine full the night before you travel, in case you cannot get to an outlet, the machine can work up to 20-30 minutes without being plugged in. That saved me big time on a Transalantic flight when the inflight outlets failed to supply electricity. But I recommend only resorting to this option as your last option because having no electrity for pumping inflight would not be fun. This is the best machine out there. Good luck!
