I got these for my 8 year old son (4'8") whom has been playing catcher the past 2 seasons. He has a set of Addidas medium size pads, and they fit with a little bit of adjusting. Pros: Installation is easy - thread through calf straps. Support is good Size is good for an adolescent. I like that it may save some of his knees for adulthood, instead of allowing them to be a stressed in the catching position. Cons: On Medium Addidas pads with clips, the straps are slightly higher and lower than the loops on the pads, causing some bunching at the loops. Not a real issue, but not a perfect design. Not perfect, but a great buy for the price.
