Bought two years ago and now started my car with a dead battery
When I bought this two years ago, my plan was to use my car battery as long as possible, essentially until it just dies, saves money and the environment. After 8 years this has now happened, and this jump starter was able to start the car up without any problems from a *completely* dead battery using the boost function. It was very easy to use and it held the charge as promised over those two years. Let's see if this outlasts the next car battery! Since it can be used as a power bank and emergency light, it's certainly useful to have in the trunk in any case.

Does its job
I recently purchased this VTOMAN V8 2000A jump starter, and today I tested it along side my other two jump starters (I now have one for each vehicle). I tested them on my 2002 Toyota Tundra 4.7 liter V8. All jump starters were in their respective vehicles for at least three days in below freezing overnight temperatures. It was about 45 degrees this morning during this test. All were originally charged to 100% a few days ago, and all still showed 100% for this test today. For this test I unhooked the actual battery, and connected the jump starters to the battery cables. I started the Tundra three times with each jump starter, waiting about 30 seconds between each start. Here is my review in the order they worked the best... BEST: DBPower 800A peak. Purchased this over a year ago. Have had to use it for real twice. Worked fine. No “boost” button needed to push. Just hook it up and start the engine. For this test, it turned the engine over the fastest of the three I tested. OK: VTOMAN V8 2000A peak. Had to use their “boost” button since there was no battery in the vehicle. It started the engine OK, but it did not crank the engine as fast as the DBPower. It is physically the same size as the DBPower, but with advertised “peak” of more than double to DBPower. But, it didn't act like it. Barely OK: Rugged GEEK RG1000 (1000A peak). Also, no boost button. It barely cranked the engine, but it did start. My son gave me this for Christmas a few years ago. This was my first such device. I have had to use it a couple of times for real, and it worked ok each time. After completing the initial test, I repeated it again. I thought the results may change since the engine had been started several times, thereby warming the oil some. However, the results didn't change. They all performed the same as before. I think these manufacturers are playing games with their “peak” amps number (much like lawn mower engine manufacturers are defining their “horse power” ratings). Manufacturers should rate these jumpers like regular batteries are rated... by cold cranking amps (CCA). Peak is misleading. After my review, it is apparent the DBPower had the most “CCA”, although it had the lowest “peak” rating of the three. I was going to put the newest starter in the truck, but I now will keep the DBPower in the truck, use the VTOMAN in my RAV4 with its 2.5 liter engine, and the Rugged GEEK in my little Mini. As far as retraining charges, I can speak to the fact the DBPower and Rugged GEEK retained their charge very well. Since I have had them, I recharge them at the beginning of winter and the beginning of summer, so roughly every 6 months. Neither were very low, typically in the mid to high 80's at recharge time. Can't speak to the VTOMAN since I just purchased it. As they say... your results may vary.

So good, I keep giving them away as presents! :D
This is THE perfect Jump Starter system you want! The hard storage case is super nice, contains all cables, instructions are super easy and clear, the system is super easy to use, battery encasing is hard good quality plastic case, the battery's rubber grip is solid, and the battery retains the charge forever. I have jumped started 5 cars and the battery never went down lower than 85%. This means that you could easily check the unused battery ever 6 months to see if you need to top-off. The hardest part of jump starting a car with this kit is to take the battery out of the case... yeap, that simple! :D I bought some of them for work, to keep as part of our Emergency Kits. We have used them to help jump start customer's cars (way faster than waiting for AAA) and to charge phones in case of emergencies. After a while, I bough one for my personal use. Since then, I have helped several people stranded in parking lots. They are always amazed by the kit and ask where to buy one. To keep the Good Samaritan vibes going, I give them my kit and buy another one for myself. This kit is a MUST HAVE in your vehicle. PS: Seller, maybe you should include a card with a QR Code to your store that we can keep in the case. That way when someone asks where to buy one, we could show them the QR Code and send them your way directly.
