I give this to my 18 1/2 yo cat to prevent kidney damage. He loves the flavor. He meows at the door every morning and evening wanting his Weruva Wx. ❤️

I own a pet sitting business and am around a LOT of pet food and products. I bought Weruva WX Phos in the Chicken and Tilapia Gravy as several of my own kittes have kidney issues. And if you’ve ever tried prescription kidney food, many cats seem to just hate it. I also have cats with eating issues so I always am on the look-out for his calorie food. Norman, my 14 year old Balinese, has both kidney and eating issues. And boy, does he LOVE this stuff. Just loves it. (He is not a fan of the pate, but this formation - he gobbles right up time and time again!) There are two negatives with this cat food - the price and just how long it can take to be shipped to you. Sometimes it takes weeks! Norman isn’t amused!

My kidney kitty did not like this at all, but my other cats could not get enough of it. Some of it looks like grits. Some is in a watery gravy with shredded chicken. It all has a very, very strong scent. Im guessing to attract your finicky kitty. I think low phosphorus food is really a case by case in terms of a cats sense of taste. But if you buy this and have other cats, the good news is its alluring to someone.

Weruva foods in general, are high quality, if not a bit on the expensive side. If someone is buying this WX low phosphorus food they are usually buying for a cat with Chronic Kidney Disease. As with most CKD cats, finding a diet they like can be challenging. Because these foods are made with egg whites in order to keep the phosphorus low, that may be a deterrent for some cats, including mine. I bought every variety of Wx Phos Focused foods but neither of my cats would eat it. In general, I have had good experience with Weruva, but unfortunately this food is a no-go for me.

I have two elderly cats, one with serious stomach issues and this food seems to work well for both. I add water to it and mix so the cats receive additional hydration. It's gentle on their tummies and they seem to gobble it right up. It's a little expensive but more affordable than vet prescribed options. Definitely recommend if your pets have tummy issues!

Spoiled picky cats usually love saucy foods but this one they turned up their noses. One tried to bury it in the granite counter.

ATE it like a champ!!...gave him more, my cat is almost 18 and has the start of kidney issues...so we are slowing this down as much as I possibly could now...hes the last of my cats from home whom were all brothers except Smoky Blu, their step sister. it was the chicken and tiliapia gravy one i gave first.......I always add more water although it had some gravy in the can...its somewhat jell like in consistency, but he didnt mind at all....I broke it up and all was good...........i somewhat stay away from tiliapia due to this fish being basically farmed raised.... but once in a while its ok. Chicken ...well....its undecided whether my cat has an allergy to chicken or grain....but he will start to lick and bite soon if its the chicken in this bothering him.....I hope not...he does like it alot for hes gotten no chicken in his diet as far as I can remember. or grain. No chicken, no duck and no grains. .duck was too much fat!!!!.. ok..will check in soon on the rest of the meal selections. but so far its a go on the first can.!!! I was happy.
