Soooo cute

The ladle itself is well made and study. It stands up on a plate or counter just fine. However, in soup, it won't stand without being weighted down by something placed in the ladle bowl. It falls over against the side of the pot and takes a nap. I used a sugar spoon to make it stand upright in the Turkey soup for a social media photo. It may stand in something thicker like stew or chili. I bought the jumbo size. I do love it and would buy again. I don't mind standing him on a saucer between servings. Easier than a traditional ladle laying on a spoon rest. And besides...he's cute.

seriously, if you are silly and childish, this will make laugh every time to turn around and see this sticking out of your sauce pot. only gets better when the liquid gets boiling and starts to move around the pot on its own. absolutely great! oh, its a ladle and works as one.
