Personally I believe the best littler out there.
I love sustainably yours. One of the only litters that is ACTUALLY dust free. I am allergic to most dusty things like from hay or cat litter etc so no dust is super important. And Wolfgang approves. It’s pricey but personally it’s worth it to me. Clumps like a dream. Sometimes a little too much but I also highly recommend mix a little bit of boxie pro in and it will help it clump just as well but usually less of the corn litter. It also helps the smell a little. Tracks a little bit, nothing I can’t live with and my litter mat catches most of it.

Best Litter I've Found So Far
Finding a good litter is a constant battle for cat owners, but I think I am finally done searching. For our one-cat household, this has been the best litter we've found BY FAR. The clumping is phenomenal and is SO much better than any other litter my cat has ever used. This litter forms very hard, cohesive clumps that do not break apart, even with force, and are very easy to sift. No bits of clumps falling off or clumps breaking apart and getting mixed back in like with clay litter, so this litter stays clean. I find that it masks the smell well and there are no urine or feces odors near my cat's box (though it does have a very subtle wet corn smell while you're scooping that goes away once the clumps are removed). I have yet to see any dust coming out of the bag when I pour it in, which is a huge plus, as even most of the "dust-free" ones are not even close to being dust-free. I recommend scooping daily or every other day (well, you should anyway) because as more urine is added, the clumps become bigger and harder, and it might make it difficult for your cat to find loose litter to cover their waste until the clumps are removed. My only complaint, which doesn't change my rating, is that it doesn't last as long as other ones and is a bit pricey per bag. I think the fact that it runs out quickly is due to how well it clumps, but I find that it needs to be changed after about 3 weeks. As a funny side note, my cat has made some interesting "sculptures" with this litter. Maybe it's just me/my sense of humor, but some of the formations I have scooped out have actually made me laugh out loud. I attached pictures of some of the funny ones, like the dinosaur and the sad person looking down.

This is THE litter you didn’t know you needed
Veterinarian and cat lover here. I have used a ton of litters over the years and unscented clay litter is what my cats prefer so that’s what I have always used. Based on other reviews I decided to give this a go. I have a litter robot, a regular pan litter box, a cat that makes super stinky poo and a cat that is asthmatic. I am going to review what’s important to me with regards to cat litter. *this is for the sustainably yours large grain only* 1. Clumping- this is by FAR the hardest clumping litter that exists. Period. Rock hard clumps. No crumbling. Super easy to scoop. It’s impressive. Nothing compares. 2. Scoopability: very easy to scoop and the clumps do not stick to the side of my robot or my litter pan. The thing I hate most about clay litter is the clumps always stick to the side of the litter boxes and they crumble making it hard to get it all out. With this litter the clumps stay in one piece. It would be very hard to break apart. Very easy to run my giant scooper through the litter and across the box. No digging like with clay and it doesn’t stick to the scooper. Box stays clean. Very little to no streaking in the litter robot globe. 3. Dust- zero dust. I have a cat with asthma so this is non negotiable. 4. Tracking - does track a little, not any worse than the low tracking clay litters. The litter is beige/yellow so if you have dark floors you will see it. I have a giant litter mat under each box and a chenille rug in the path and it contains 95% of the tracking. My Roborock gets the rest every day. 5. Smell: smell is very well contained in my litter robot but if my stinky pop cat poops in the regular box and doesn’t bury it, I can smell it. I refuse to use scented litters bc chemicals and my asthmatic cat, so the occasional stinky poo I can live with. 6. Cost: It’s expensive, really expensive. I guess you get what you pay for…If this is in your budget, it’s 100% worth it. I’m a convert and will continue to use this litter. I can’t speak for product consistency bc I haven’t used it very long. It did take my cats 2 weeks to start using the litter box with this litter regularly. My advice to introduce- add another new cheap deep pan litter box to what you have already, fill it with this litter only (2 bags = $40), put it in a cat desirable location, and give them a few weeks to adjust before you switch out their current toilets. If you decide to give it a go, I hope you like it as much as I do. Another reviewer recommended mixing with Boxie Pro and getting similar clumping results making it a little more cost effective. I may give that a try.

Great alternative to clay litter!
Very long and honest review. :-) Background: I have allergy-induced asthma and while some cats themselves bother me, I realized that it is actually the clay litter dust that I am more allergic to. My recently adopted cats also seemed to be having issues with every clay litter I tried (we went through 4 different 99.9% dust free options, and they were all still causing us issues in one way or another). So after tireless searching and reading reviews from multiple places, I landed on Sustainably Yours for my first try at natural litter. There are definitely some trade offs and learning curves when compared to clay litter that I am ok with, but some may find them to be deal breakers. CLUMPING/ODOR CONTROL FOR URINE 10/10: This BY FAR exceeds the clumping power of any clay litter for urine. I'm talking rock solid clumps virtually on contact. And it absorbs all the urine smell completely. CLUMPING/ODOR CONTROL FOR FECES 7/10: This is one area that requires a learning curve and a little more attention. My cats have chronic soft stools and this litter poses a challenge when scooping. Especially if I scoop it shortly after they go. If it is completely covered up, the smell is concealed vey well, but this litter only lightly coats the feces and doesn't form solid clumps like with the urine when scooping. So if you're using a large slotted scoop and your cats have soft stools, you will 1) want to leave the feces for at least a couple of hours, and 2) want to limit how much excess litter you try to shake out. If you scoop too soon or shake to vigorously (or virtually at all) you will end up with lots of small fecal particles left behind, ehixh is annoying. I did buy a second scoop with small holes to help with this, but it takes extra time to fish the particles out. I also use a Litter Genie and since the feces isn't heavily coated in litter, the smell leaks from the pale much more than it did with the clay litters. I have remedied this by putting a small amount of baking soda (like 1 tablespoon) in the pale each time after I scoop. Problem solved. OVERALL ODOR CONTROL 10/10: once I figured out the tricks above, it works great and there is no litter box smell in my house. I scoop their boxes twice a day, but I think someone could get by with less, as far as the smell goes. TRACKING 8/10: This rating is totally subjective and will completely depend on your current litter experience. I find that this tracks a good deal but not anymore than some of the leading brands of clay litter. We have the boxes in the basement and I find litter about 5 feet away from the box (with tracking mats), but not anywhere else in the house. I would find litter upstairs with some of the clay litters I tried, so for me this was an improvement. It is easily vacuumed up with the upright Dust Devil. DUST 9/10: Another subjective rating. This does have a small amount of dust (especially the longer it is in the box) but it is subjectively so much better than any clay litter I tried. Mainly because neither me nor my cats are allergic to these dust particles. With the boxes in the basement, the amount of dust is not an issue for me and is easily cleaned up with my normal cleaning routine. If I were using this in a smaller space, it might be an issue though. OVERALL RATING 8.5/10: The tracking and learning curve with loose stools drops the rating, but since we aren't allergic to this I am willing to accept these challenges.

Literally the best litter out there
I am not a cat person at all. Mainly because of the smell and mess of a litter pan. However, my mom is and we had to move her and her cat in with us. I tried them all, to include the "The world's best cat liter" (not bad) and Arm & Hammer's Hard Ball liter (which was scented so much, I'd prefer the pee smell. This product checked all the boxes. I don't notice a scent from the product. Low dust. hard clumps for pee and desiccates the poo. No litter box smell at all - and if anyone would smell it, I would. Because of how efficiently this clumps pee, you are tossing less out, than the clay versions out there. I will happily pay the higher cost, for the value I am getting from this product. Highly recommend.

Tracking is a horrible nightmare!
I relocated to another town & my cat developed allergies. Immediately I began investigating pellets to use for his litter. I found Sustainably Yours. When I received the litter there were large dark brown flecks in it. This concerned me as it was not described online. I wasn't sure if it was an insect or was part of the makeup of the litter. I contacted the owner of Sustainably Yours & he sounded concerned & told me he would send me a replacement bag. I discussed the tracking problem & he told me that it should be pellets. He wants to send me the largest size pellet. I did not choose the larger pellet because online it indicated it tracks more than the smaller or medium pellets. The medium size pellets are what I purchased. After approximately one week I contacted the owner once again as I had not received the litter. I never received a reply. He disregarded me all together. When I initially spoke with him, he sounded concerned & proud of his product, but in all actuality had no intention of resolving the issue. That alone lets me know that he is aware his product is inferior. If the owner of the Company doesn't stand behind his product, I'm certainly not going to use it. I'm glad I never received the replacement bag because I would have used it, thinking the bags I originally received were just defective. The biggest problem is the tracking. What a nightmare! This litter isn't pellets, it's sand! The sand works it's way into all areas & continues to track long after the cleanup. I learned from the owner of Sustainably Yours that their litter is created from corn & what is used to make tapioca. The tapioca is what makes the litter harden immediately. As far as tracking..... tracking is the absolute worst I've ever witnessed! It's everywhere because it's finer than sand! It's a never ending struggle to get my home cleaned-up. Also, the more you clean the waste, the more It becomes a finer sand. I'm forced to vacuum 3 -4 times a day, sometimes more! Never have I encountered such a horribly difficult tracking issue! Once I started using this litter, dust began flying everywhere! I ran my fans for a couple of hours. The sand is going thru my A/C duct system as it's on my walls. It was a storm of litter dust that I could have done without! l now dust the walls as much as possible. What a horrible experience. My cat would only sit or sleep underneath blankets as he did when his allergies first began. He can see more dust in the air than I can. I have hardwood floors & know the litter is between the planks. I fear if I mop my floors the litter will harden & damage them! There's nothing I can do at this point. The more I walk on the floors the more litter presents itself. I have since chosen another pellet litter that is actually tofu & it's excellent! It's also a real pellet! The waste hardens & doesn't fall apart when cleaning up. The smell is non existent. The best is there isn't any tracking! I've picked up only 2 pellets in the past 4 days. Everything else about this tofu litter is right on as described. It's also 100% biodegradable so it's can be flushed! My cat loves it & his allergies have stopped once again. DO NOT Purchase Sustainably Yours! It will become your worst nightmare the same as it has become & remains mine! Tracking nightmare update, May 2nd, 2024: I'm still finding this litter when I vaccum! It has definitely lodged itself between my hardwood floor planks and each time I vaccum bits appear. I know it's not the current litter I'm using as the tofu litter I selected is green (there are other colors). Amazing litter! I strongly recommend if you have hardwood floors you contact an expert to ensure the hardening of this Sustainably Yours Litter wont cause any damage to your floors. It' was a mistake for me to trust this Company with a product they recommend to use inside my home. When initially advised of the issues they were kind and considerate. But the kindness and consideration ended with the conversation. They never followed through with the promise to refund or replace the damaged product I purchased. And they don't care about the tracking problem. I'm not the only customer that has mentioned the nightmate it creates. I believe the hardening could cause damage to my cats respirarory system from inhaling while using the litter. I sugguest wearing a face mask while cleaning or even pouring the litter out of the bag into the box. There is a dust storm that could possibly be harmful to any respiratory system. This litter is not delivered vaccum sealed as the current litter I'm using is. The new litter is thumbs up all the way around and I wouldn't have ever discoved it if I received the promised replacement or refund. I was played during my conversation and that's just unkind regardless how you perceive it. I rarely submit reviews but I'm passionate about this product for all the reasons mentioned.

Clumps great! Tracks everywhere tho
So I do and don't love this cat litter. It works wonders in the litter box, but outside the litter box is a nightmare! It tracks everywhere! I tried a box over the litter box, a litter rug, more rugs, and still it tracks clear to the kitchen. Its sticky kinda like a wet sugar almost. How does it track that far in the house?! Its everywhere! Im pretty sure it could ruin a vacuum. If it gets damp it doesnt sweep up. A rug is ruined because I cant get it to wash out. Its a nice concept but still very bad. If you like the feeling of sand all over your house, shelves, furniture, ect. Then sure try it out. The clumping is fantastic and litter stays clean. Thats really all thats good about it. If it didnt track so much, I would definitely buy it again. But for now, no I cant use it anymore. Im still on a search for good cat litter. :/

What my Litter Robot needed all along
This is most relevant to those using a Litter Robot. I used to use the soft, smallest piece formula of Okocat for a while, because clay litter would track and smear. Okocat tracks a lot as well, but it sweeps or vacuums up much better. However, shipping takes an unusually long time and they do not allow you to cancel the shipment even when it will be over a week before it even ships. Most recently, I needed something within a few days and shipping was supposed to be weeks. I had to order another type of litter to hold us over. I went with sustainably yours (SY), small grain. Wow. Amazing difference. Here is the comparison: Tracking Litter. Sustainably Yours (SY) tracks as well (I haven’t found a small grain/ cedar/ clay litter that doesn’t). However, it is easy to dust, sweep, and vacuum. It even vacuums better out of my litter mat, which the cedar Okocat didn’t easily do. Cleaning the machine. The okocat soft cedar gets squishy and sticky. I had to remove the bowl and soak it to clean it. A simple wipe or spray and scrub didn’t cut it. It also gets caught on the brush where litter gets funneled into the trash. I had to replace them, because they couldn’t be cleaned fully. SY (the alternative I bought) is so much better! It’s like a light dusting and easy to clean. I might never have to remove the bowl again. Smell. Hands down SY is better. I just don’t smell it. Everything that touches sticks to the poop or pee and gets filtered out. The way the litter robot rolls the clumps out plus the super fine texture of the litter seems to allow the clumps to land completely covered. It seems to help trap the scent. The rest of the litter left in the bowl looks untouched. Litter waste. The cedar Okocat is a fatter, softer grain. It can’t filter through the litter robot’s litter catcher fast enough. That leads to half of the clean litter getting dropped in the trash when droppings are cycled. This happens even if you’re just testing the cycle and there is no poop. You waste less of you put half the recommended amount, but this also means you have to fill it more often and the cat’s droppings might smear on the side where litter isn’t, since less of the bowl base is covered. That makes it even harder to clean. SY litter is so fine that there is very little waste. Overall, SY is a dream come true compared to okocat’s cedar. If you need a litter for a litter box lined with only a trash bag that you scoop daily and change every week, the big piece version of any cedar is the way to go. However, if you’re using the litter robot, I recommend Sustainably Yours and their small grain. I wish I found it sooner.
