I'm not usually a fan of 'rant' reviews, however I must point out that I have provided an actual/ helpful product review in the paragraphs below. First though, I want to call Amazon out on their pricing over the past couple of years, as they were selling this item at £2 for quite a while, then it suddenly increased by 50%. But that's pretty-much what I can afford to pay for it; I can't pay £2.75, £3.00, £3.50 or whatever, because one bottle lasts me only about 8 days-or-so, and that's with just myself using it a few times a day (early morning, at teatime/ before work, and at bedtime). I normally buy it in bulk therefore, and I avoid using the chemist chains and supermarkets to do-so. But even when Amazon sold it at a low price they limited the number of bottles I could buy, so I couldn't properly stock up. Discount deals do come up in off-High Street stores every now-and-then, and at the time of writing (updated early 2025) you can actually buy the same size bottle for £2 at a certain 'Bargains' store. However, it's somewhat inconvenient to go there, and I need to have a stash of bottles to use while I'm waiting for another deal to come along. So, delivery from Amazon suits (if their price is right). I'm writing this in the vain hope that Amazon and the manufacturer will get the message and react accordingly. If they do, all power to them, because these are difficult times and every 50p saved makes a difference, even 25p quite frankly. Anyway, this mouthwash works well, because after swishing it around your mouth you'll see any bacteria being expelled into the sink or loo when you spit the solution out. And if you then floss and go again with some Dentyl before brushing (say, last thing at night, not every time you use it obviously), you'll often release a bit more gunk. I don't recommend using anywhere near a full capful of it though, because about a-third-of a cap is enough. Just make sure that you thoroughly shake the bottle before use, and pour it out *immediately* once you've done-so. Otherwise it separates again and you'll end-up using the blue element too quickly. That's more of an issue the fuller the bottle is, when it really does need a vigorous shake-up to get the two colours to mix together. Indeed, the reviewer who said it made them choke very likely didn't shake the bottle properly, and ended-up using only/ mostly the blue element as a rinse, and/ or probably swallowed some of it (which is not advised and not the manufacturer's fault). In my opinion this (clove) one is the best flavour and type of Dentyl, so I suggest ignoring all the other options, but that's up to you. However, please be aware that it's a functional product. It's not that it's horrible or anything, and the taste is not unlike the rinse you get at dentists, just don't go expecting people to compliment you on your minty fresh breath, because arguably Dentyl isn't about that in comparison to your cheap, generic mouthwash products. It doesn't have a burning sensation like some competing products do either. To conclude then, because the emphasis with Dentyl is in getting-rid of bacteria and removing plaque rather than purely freshening the breath, I would never want to go back to using any other mouthwash.

I use this every day. Wouldn't want anything else. My main interest is in getting a reasonable price, easy ordering and prompt delivery. And this time I did!

Best mouth wash and tastes ok after

Really effective, both objectively and psychologically! I like how it uses a different method from other mouthwashes, focusing on plaque removal rather than fresh breath. I sometimes brush again after to replace the fluoride. I do run out of tge top layer toward the end of the bottle even with shaking, but still seems to work ok. Cheaper in certain bargain shops but this is a handy option as not sold in the major supermarkets near me.

Love this alcohol‑free mouthwash! Freshens breath, feels comfortable, and doesn’t sting at all. Great for everyday oral care.
