good, but not all birds can get in to feed. squirrels get so disheartened then give you this stare of like "how dare you".

So, just to put it out there, I wanted the larger version with 1lb feed tray below suet cakes, but the squirrels are pests and would tip it over. I bought this feeder instead and I'm so happy I did! Squirrels try and try but with no luck. The Downy, Hairy, Red-Belly, and Pileated Woodpecker thank you Kingsyard!! 10/10 Super thrilled with this feeder!

Large birds like woodpeckers have a hard time getting to the suet.

This product deters squirrels, (not totally ) and large birds. It is not foolproof because squirrels are clever and learn how to tilt feeders so they can reach suet droppings on the floor of the feeder. Chipmunks can get in and eat on the floor of the bird feeder. Otherwise, I think these are pretty good.
