Over a weekend, we processed 161 meatbird chickens that averaged over 6 lbs each. By the time we got to the packaging, everyone was exhausted, but we were able to zip through it in no time at all. These poultry shrink bags are the way to go. Easier than freezer bags and we ended up with nicely packaged birds that took up a lot less freezer space. It was so easy! Place the bird into the bag neck first, put the provided tubes halfway into the cavity to expel the excess air, put a zip tie around the end of the bag, submerge in the 180-200° water for five seconds and done. Just pull out the tube, tighten the zip tie and toss it in the freezer! They are sturdy bags, no holes to poke, no freezer burn. What's not to like?

We raise around 500 chickens a year for meat for ourselves and to sell. We have tried and tested multiple different suppliers and types of shrink bags and we have decided that we will only be using these Texas Poultry Shrink Bags for our pastured poultry. The hose method used with these bags is definitely superior to the bags that require you to poke a hole in them as water can get in that hole, but it cannot enter the hose as you keep the end above the water line when sealing these bags. This product is very easy to use I have used it on very small Chickens rabbits and it has worked very well the bones don’t come through and it’s stacked neatly in my freezer

Simple and easy to use. Be sure water is 190 degrees.

They worked better than expected. Just wish there was a Canadian manufacturer and distributor for these so I could buy relatively locally. I use shrink material for boat covers and aircraft wings. This stuff is awesome. I did a test run in a few large ducks. Look better than store bought.
