Tibetan colors are always spiritually centering to me, and this string of ten flags brings me back to my sense of serenity. These prayer flags have a texture a bit like paper currency, and come already strung: blue, white, red, green & yellow, repeated. These colors represent the five elements: blue is for sky, white is for wind, red is for fire, green is for water and yellow is for earth. In Tibet, prayer flags are often decorated with woodblock prints with text and designs, but it’s not uncommon for them to be unadorned, like these. One thing to pray for: Tibet to be free.
